We've recently come part time residents in the area and this little gem is a mere 10 min from our house. Since we are now part time residents we've been trying all kinds of restaurants in the Fenwick/Selbyville/Ocean City area. We've ordered from here three times since May and I have to say it is absolutely delicious! Portions are great. Price is on point for what you get. All of the various dishes and appetizers we've ordered so far have been fresh and delicious. So far we have not found any dishes that were not good. Service is great. The staff are so very friendly. This is a great local place and I highly recommend. Under COVID you can eat indoors or take out. Inside, the tables are spread out well. We have chose not to eat indoors anywhere so all of our orders have been take out.

We love coming to Cactus. The environment is always friendly and inviting. They always accommodate us with haste, even when we dont have reservations. The food is always fantastic, and the chips and salsa are unmatched! Great house margaritas, and fantastic service. Food comes out quick, and is fairly priced. This is our pick for a meal nearby! It also says something about a restaurant when you see the same folks working there for years. Much of the industry is seasonal or very unpredictable. I think it really shows great ownership and management that the folks who work here stay around.

Sorry for this long review but...... Living close we have visited numerous times, always enjoying ourselves! Special occasion and nite out last weekend was a total disaster. It took 1 hour for the kids meals and 1 1/2 hours for the adult dinners. We did order and were served our pitcher of Margaritas quickly.....it was quite evident that there was no alcohol in the drink. (When my sister returned home she used a professional breathalyzer and blew a 0.0!) We were told that several staff people were out... Our server was nice and tried to smooth things over. She could only serve what the kitchen put out. Been in the business and understand that! My cheese enchilada was a shell folded over with a small amount of cheese inside and what looked to be a slice of cheese melted on the top. While waiting we met several tables of vacationers that informed us they would not be back. As for us, there are MANY mexican places in town that are exceptional......

We gave Cactus Cafe a try based on 2 different recommendations from friends. Maybe it was an off night, but we weren't too impressed. The queso dip was bland and flour-y tasting, the margaritas seemed like they were made mostly with bottled sweet mix. Fajitas were ok, but would have been really over-priced if they hadn't been on 1/2 off special. For Mexican, we'd much rather eat at the nearby Papa Grande's.

We have been going here for longer than 10 years and it has been fine. We stopped by the other night and it was just not as it used to be. Our server forgot the muffins, the tarter sauce and he was just not on top of it. The food is still good but the place just needs perking up.

Our first back during the summer season. Still very good fajitas but at regular prices ($17 for chicken). I thought the Fire Wings took a step back in quality. Not as plump wings and sauce was not as spicy or sweet (honey)as before. The Gambas al Ajillo (sautéed shrimp) was very good. All in all, a nice dinner with a couple of Margarita's. Friendly servers and good home style Mexican cooking.

The service wasn't bad, however the food was horrible and very expensive. We were offered seafood specials, didn't think to ask the cost of the specials as we thought they would be a deal since they were specials. One of us ordered grouper and the other 2 ordered rock fish. This was some sort of fish, even though we ordered different fish dishes, it seems like we all got the same fish and it wasn't fresh fish. Also when someone doesn't even eat close to half of their meal usually the wait staff would ask if the food was okay, they didn't. The cost was OUTRAGEOUSLY OVERPRICED!!! I have paid less for meals in a tourist town for FRESH SEAFOOD.

We went there after once again being treated indifferently at the Flying Fish in Fenwick. The owner was very friendly and walked is through the menu. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals - steak fajitas, fish tacos and chorizo tacos. Chips and salsa were also yummy. We will return! Hidden gem off the beaten path!

This is a hidden gem restaurant with great prices. They offer steak, pork and seafood dishes that are unbelievably good. My personal favorite is tuna fajitas style. If you aren't a fan of Mexican food, but the rest of the family is, not to worry. They have plenty of dishes to chose from.

When you walk in the doors of Cactus Cafe you have not entered a restaurant but a family. It is truly the warmest customer service in the area and I have lived here for more than 35 years. Cactus is a regular stop for my family because it is hard to find a place that makes great food and makes a toddler feel welcome. I highly recommend anything with the champagne crabmeat sauce or the raspberry jalapeño sauce (which is more sweet than spicy). The calamari appetizer is the best I have had from anywhere because it is cheesier than most giving it a unique twist. They have wonderful specials and is more than "Mexican" food. The steaks and seafood are always done to perfection. My family is so thankful for this restaurant allowing us to have dinner out with the warmth and comfort of home.

Where do I begin? From the family-friendly atmosphere to the ridiculously good sauces and specials. Cactus Trio with Mushroom Diana Sauce? Scallop Cakes? Half-rack of ribs with raspberry jalepeno sauce? We could go on. We've had our wedding rehearsal dinner here, and it's a regular date-night spot. Highly-recommended.
