The Curtis House is called “the oldest Inn in Connecticut” and it certainly has some of the charm you would expect from an historical inn. I have visited several time both for lunch and dinner and the food is good - not great, but good...More

Attended a sit-down 3-course dinner at the Curtis House with reservations for 4 at noon on Thanksgiving 2018. The Curtis House, simply, was packed with people, and the parking lot was overflowing, with vehicles parked in adjacent lots. This becomes a problem when the 3...More

Microwaving a returned steak because it was under cooked and getting it back 45 sec later is not the practice of a quality restaurant, service with a frown to boot.

Their Penne a la Vodka is nearly to die for; their sliced roast beef is a bit dry; their chicken marsala had a taste that didn't go well with some of our guests. Their crab cakes were gobbled up. Service is good, pricing is really...More

We had an enjoyable meal at the Curtis House. It is nice that you can eat in a restaurant that has been around for so long.

Went downstairs to City Hall Pub. For a Friday night, it was empty. Mediocre service but the food was really good.... seafood pasta special was cooked perfectly. The place needs a good cleaning and updating but I will return

Visited the brunch on Sunday at 10:30 am. Excellent as usual. Many wonderful entrees, and a dissert selection to die for. The brunch was $20.00 which included a Mimosa or bloody Mary. Excellent value, nice service, in historic surrounds.

We had friends stay at this inn and they said it was "just ok" - kind of tired and it is a very old place. We thought the brunch food was pretty good - but just not hot and we were one of the first to arrive on a Sunday... More
