Our hotel concierge suggested Cosmopolitan to my husband and I on our recent visit to Telluride! What an outstanding suggestion! We were quite pleased with the service, quality of the food and the ambiance as well! Everything was fabulous!

For such a highly rated restaurant we were met by an extremely unwelcoming host. Reason being my service dog. She has been highly trained and certified for my particular needs and they argued that she was not welcome. Of course she had her service harness...More

We are disappointed to hear of your experience at Cosmopolitan, and thank you for your review. Please know service animals are welcome in our restaurant per the Americans with Disabilities Act and with local County Health Department regulations in mind. We regularly serve guests with...More

As a 30 local, I see them come and go. The Cosmo stays. Chef owners have an upper hand in that. Telluride is an expensive place to eat out. Locals won't spend their money eating just anywhere. We can always count on a great experience...More

TrideRusty, thank you for the kind words. It's great know you've enjoyed the restaurant over time and we hope to remain one of the local's favorites for many more years to come.

Our large party tried several things. The filet was the crowd favorite. It must be prime. It melts in your mouth. Other dishes were excellent too with exception of the snapper. It seemed too strong and fishy to be fresh snapper, even with the skin...More

We were fortunate to have this excellent restaurant in our hotel (The Columbia, also great). We went for a late bite. The decor is first class, but being a ski resort area, you would feel comfortable in anything from a sweater to a tie. Our...More

We had a fantastic meal here. The beef is all local from Colorado and some of the best we have ever had. Coming from NYC and frequently going to highly rated steak houses, my husband can be hard to impress but our dinner at cosmopolitan...More

Pricey but worth it. Amazing food and a cool staff. Especially the bartender who hooked us up! Great cocktail menu. Definitely go for a reservation as walk-ins have trouble finding seats, especially on weekends or snow days.

The Cosmopolitan is open daily from 5pm to close. Happy hour is 5-6pm in the bar only. Once a grand saloon in the thriving mining camp of Telluride, The Cosmopolitan is now home to the fresh, innovative creations of Chad Scothorn, who has received national attention and praise for his original, fresh approach to food preparation. Serving dinner nightly, this elegantly simple 80 seat restaurant is located in the newly remodeled luxurious Hotel Columbia at the base of the Gondola. Known locally as "Cosmo", the custom cherry wood bar is the perfect place to unwind. In the summer, the west patio lounge is a refreshing outdoor dining experience.
