I stopped to purchase a birthday cake for a friend and decided to stop awhile and treat myself to a classic yellow cake cupcake with chocolate frosting and a cup of coffee. Everything was excellent. Freeport lives up to its reputation.

I love how quaint the place is but I love their goodies even more. I'm very picky with chocolate cakes and Freeport's Blackout Cake is one of the best I've had.

I love going to this place and have to admit I go there fairly frequently. They sell amazing muffins and cookies and bread. And I always order the cake (especially the red velvet), but every time I am always disappointed with how dry the cake is. Don't get me wrong, the icing is AMAZING, but I always expect more from... This is a small, but very popular bakery. We happened into it by chance more than anything and found the selections to be superb. We ended up buying all sorts of goodies even though we were going to be flying in a few hours, and we're still enjoying those treats even after getting home.

Just ate a chocolate/vanilla raspberry cake...yummy. This bakery has some of the best of everything. Have had the coconut cake, little cakes, cookies, sweet rolls...and all are delicious. Stop in and leave the diet for another day. Enjoy!

Tried their cakes at a wedding and they were really good so we decided to check out the actual bakery. We tried several of their pastries and treats.. We enjoyed everything. Parking can be a little tricky. We would go back. Kid friendly...

They do great baking. One of the best in town. But...a bunch of frowning faces. Wonder what's up with that? Very efficient but with an impersonal manner. Not rude but it's like they have been told not to show any friendliness. Wonder if anyone else has had this experience?

We have a guest who requested a specific type of cake for her b-day. Ettores' won't do custom cakes, so they recommended Freeport. It is 1 hr from our location, but after going and seeing all the smiling faces of employees and customers alike, I knew we'd made the right decision. There's NOTHING like a REAL bakery cake. Grocery stores... More

SF Bay Area folks in Sacramento for 4/5 days to do the art scene and more. Very good traditional bakery on the south side of Sacramento. Apparently they have a major emphasis on wedding and other occasion cakes. Nevertheless we had excellent pastry, coffee etc. (We always look for the best bakeries wherever we go ...)
