My husband and I celebrated our 49th anniversary, at the Summit House tonight. The prime rib, Yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes, onion soup, creamed corn (beyond delicious), creamed spinach and the chocolate petifoles (spelling ?) dessert was outstanding. George, our server was very attentive. We booked...More

Food like a middle of the road wedding banquet hall. Absolutely nothing special about it, unless you go out on the terrace for the beautiful views. Many raves, co-workers said how wonderful it was. If you've never truly dined at someplace that was exquisite than...More

Summit House is the most expensive restaurant in Orange County Ca. By extension, it should also be the best. Our first time was an expensive disappointment. They mixed up our meals so I got the well done and our host got the rare prime rib....More

On the hilltop overseeing the surrounding towns, Summit House has a great view. Almost tucked away unassuming, we had driven past it several times but decided to go for our anniversary dinner. We hadn't made reservations so hoped for the best by going early for...More

Surprised to learn that this place was founded in 1989, as it felt like restaurants I went to as a kid in the 1960s and 1970s with my parents ... including the my-unadventurous-parents-would-love-this menu and the piano repertoire. It was pretty flashback-y for me. The...More

The location is unbeatable, 360 degree hilltop view. Especially on July 4th each year, people would come up to the park to view firework. The food is OK, recently they improve a lot. Worth a visit.

I like the atmosphere, especially at Christmas. People who typically go to this Restaurant usually order their Prime Rib. However, there are better places which I will go for Prime Rib and the Summit House needs can do better. With that said I do still...More

We went for dinner and found people were well dressed. But they seemed an accommodating place that would accept dress shorts.

All restaurants are different and have various prices for curtain events. I have had a private party room at the Summit House and the cost for the extra staff to cater the event was included. So, I suggest that if you have... More

For centuries the English Inn has earned a great reputation for friendly faces, cozy rooms and cheery firesides. As soon as guests come to the Inn, the charming hosts and hostesses run to greet them. In front of a crackling fire one can partake of good hearty fare - the tankard is always full - the spit hung with roasting beefs - and a table heaped with sweets and such. The Inn Keepers of the Summit House are inspired by this custom to create an hospitable place where friends can meet to eat, drink and delight in the views of North Orange County's countryside. To one and all, welcome!
