I stopped off here as I was driving down the N1 to Cape Town. What a beautiful setting under the trees. I hadn't booked a table but they found me a nice quiet table, as I was dining alone. I have read others complaining about service but I have to say it was very good. Menus were brought quickly, the... More

Breakfast was great and will recommend to my friends. The visit to the the tasting room, what a disgrace! Poor service, focus on international tourist, local money who will support during the winter months totally ignored. Wine okay! What for this! First estate ever where we had to pay for a wine box! Money trap!

Very poor service. Went there for breakfast. Was greeted by friendly staff who seated us outside. Only one other table occupied. Our breakfast took 45 minutes and it was'nt that great. The restaurant manager who came in when were almost finished with our meals did'nt even bother to stop at our table to ask if everything was in order.

We celebrated my mom's 70th there. Well organised, attention to detail service, good food, quality wines and well priced, lovely setting. This is the 3rd time we've visited and will be back very soon. Waiting for winter to do a beer tasting and pizza afternoon in the brewery. Mari and Kari

Was so very excited about the gorgeous renovations, entrance and upgrades! Went for pizzas and live music Wednesday evening with 3 friends. Place was full and menu very promising. Sad to say service was not great, food average and 'live' music not very 'alive'. Very friendly welcome at the front door, but everything else just average. Such a pity. Really... More

Although the wine here wasn't as delicious as some of the other wineries we visited (with the notable exception of the amazing Cape Ruby), this was a lovely spot for lunch and wine.

This was a chance stop for lunch and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is situated adjacent to the brewery and wine tasting area. It is beautifully shaded by trees and therefore comfortable even on hot days. Whilst deciding on the menu we had a beer sampling which was interesting in that some were more to my taste than others.... More

Went there for lunch with 4 adults and 2 kids under 10. We had table 20 under the trees which is really excellent and cool on a hot day. The craft beer was great (we only tried the lager) as was the bottle of Sauvignon blanc. The kiddies menu is really good value for money and the fries all round... More

We had a lovely lunch at the restaurant. Food was great but our waitress was a bit absent minded. We asked her when the tasting room closed as we wanted to taste wine and cheese. She said that they close at 5pm. We had a relaxing lunch and chilled a bit as we knew that we had time to taste... More

This is the second time I have stopped off here, because the setting is beautiful, the wine and beer tasting good and I can stock up on cheeses and cake from the deli. But ouch! Your service in the restaurant needs serious attention! The food when it arrived, was delicous, but took far too long! We waited half an hour... More

Wagon Trail Brewery, the latest addition to the Anura collection, is a microbrewery and restaurant, with a capacity of a 500litre batch brew, offering a selection of craft beers as well as a brewpub. Our industrial style brew pub allows you to sample our selection of craft beers, while witnessing the beer making process in action and enjoying our menu comprising of hand-produced charcuterie, cheeses and laidback gastro-pub style foods. Think grassfed beef burgers, eisbein, hot&spicy wings and rotiserie chicken. When the sun comes out, all this can be enjoyed on our expansive deck overlooking the Lillypad pond and gardens.
