Tourist & local people usually hang out this nice Greek tavern very close to the main beach and hotel of Plakias. Traditional dishes, especially meat & vegetables are really tasty and well-prepared. The owner, Mrs. Vaggeliò is a lovely lady, kind & always smiling. She's able to arrange any need you may require!
Prices are very low in relation to the quantity/quality provided. Tables outside or inside, as you like. Strongly recommended if you want to enjoy your meal in front of the Libyan Sea.

A very nice cosy taverna . We had a fish, vegetable stew and stuffed zucchini flowers. All were great and the stuff is very nice . They serve their own olive oil which is cool. If you don’t eat much meat you will still find good options.

If you want good fresh food at a reasonable price, please go there, the service is very good, friendly people with mamma in the kitchen.
We tried fish as well as meat, everything is really amazingly tasteful, all this at a good price and after dinner they give you lovely sweets and raki do not hesitate, go there!!! Bravo for Sifis and his team!!!

Stopped here for lunch - it looked a little less touristy than some of those directly on the waterside. We were not disappointed; the seafood risotto with cream was excellent, quite different from an Italian risotto but well worth trying. Fried calamari was also good. With excellent bread and olive paste, sparkling water, wine and coffee (free raki and watermelon) for €42, was good value too.

We came into Plakias at around 8.30PM to find all the tavernas were full !!!! As we walked around, we passed Sifis who saw us looking in and found a table for us both even though he was maxed out. As always, you get a great choice of meals and the food is plentiful and tasty. The family look after you and will go out of their way to make sure you have a nice meal. Nice to grab a table at the front if you can, and watch the world pass bye.

We arrived shortly before closing time, the kitchen was clearing. We were nevertheless offered 2 dishes of Gemista and Spagetti Bolognese both dishes were excellent and the service was great despite late hour. Big praise from us. We can recommend the restaurant.

Everything is rubish. Worst greek salat I ever eat .You will ask how can you make a greeksalat so bad. everything in salat was tasteless.Tomatoes tasteless, cucumber tasteless, pepper tasteless even olives was watery.It was just like a gereeksalat with dutch integriends😵💫
I think They use cheapest vegetables from supermarket. There was half feta then normally and again tasteless.

It was pleasantly full, but we were assigned a table after a 2-minute wait. The owner or person in charge was a very jovial man and liked to drink his raki with the guests. The food was very tasty. We went there twice during our stay and had a fantastic Greek meal. You can choose whatever you want as a side dish, rice or potatoes or chritharakhi. Everything was possible. If you want it this way, okay, if you want it differently, that's also okay. Afterwards we received a free dessert and of course raki. Price quality ok and with a sea view.

Niko, Timor, Christoph and Lazaros became very dear to us during the week.
Super delicious food, everyone was always attentive. The entire menu is highly recommended.
We were there last year too and were greeted with a big hello this year.

My wife and I have eaten here on a number of occasions both during the summer and in the "close" season in January.
The hosts, Sifis and Anna are both gregarious and pleasant.
The choice of meals is phenomenal, and they also have specials!! You won't suffer from a lack of choice.
The food is generally very good and good value for money. Our favourite meals are the Chicken with Pepper Sauce, the Sole fillet & I particularly like the Bolognaise. The freebie dessert is often a fruit in syrup with plain yogurt - yummy.
The restaurant opens later than any other in Plakias and they also do "take aways".
This is not 5* dining but it is always good wholesome edible food, at a very reasonable price. We would recommend it.

Return to Plakias after 40 years. Changed out of all recognition but this taverna is the real deal. Friendly service and good food. Simply a great lunch.
