Attracted by the sight of the beautiful patio surrounded by trees we decided to stop for dinner. The location is good and right by the sea, so at lunch you'll probably enjoy the view as well as the food. The bouyourdi was awesome and one portion was plenty for two people. The grill was off so we couldn't try the fresh fish, but the casserole pork and the briam were simply delightful. To finish things off we had ouzo and they offered us yogurt with lemon zest, which complemented the ouzo perfectly. The bill was super cheap and we left with the promise of coming back to try the grilled specialties.

Visited with my Wife for lunch. Fabulous view across Sousa beach. 2 Tuna salads, were just perfect. Good size, well presented, and very tasty. Complimentary bread. Mythos on draft or selection of bottled beers, which are cheaper than th neighbouring taverna. Very friendly staff. At the end of the meal we were given a complementary dessert of lemon cheesecake, absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.

excellent food and atmosphere, amazing sea view and very kind service.You can feel the spirit of real cretan tavern here! The stuff treat you like a member of family, meals are always fresh and for finish you get some extra specials. Eating in Delfini was for us like a everyday feast!

Taverna Delfini is one of two tavernas at the main entrance to Souda Beach. The spacious facility is beautifully decorated, the service is excellent. I order a cucumber-tomato salad and pastitsio (macaroni with minced meat and bechamel sauce). The quality is in good.

We had lunch in this tavern when we were relaxing on the Souda beach. Excellent food! We had fresh dorado, chicken from the oven and artichokes in lemon sauce. All the sauces were delicious! The service was really good and quick. I hope to return one day.

This is a lovely taverna overlooking the beach with tables under the trees but also a large veranda which was much needed on a super windy day. The usual Cretan menu was supplemented by a list of daily specials, some of which we hadn't seen before. The artichokes in lemon sauce, okra and tomatoes in the oven and aubergine with cous cous were all delicious and portions were large. The guys serving seemed rather surly but then it was the end of the season. Great value too

We ate in this tavern yesterday, my Greek salad was 70% made up of cucumbers, very few tomatoes and lots of onion and a nice piece of feta. Overall the worst I've ever eaten. They served us hot water. Portions of cuttlefish and spinach looked like they came straight from the hospital, from the hospital canteen. On the other hand, the portion of Dakos was good. For the first time since we were in Crete, we were charged two euros for two Cecchetti di Roki. Then they presented us with a portion of very hot watermelon. Not recommended.

We came here for a lunch at the beach after we sunbathed. We were quite hungry so we ordered a bunch of different meals. The Parmesan salad, cheese croquettes, spaghetti bolognese, spaghetti napolitana, artichokes and small fish (sardines I suppose). The cheese croquettes were a MUST. They were extremely delicious. The waiters were extremely polite and nice and the view was fantastic. Definitely a place that you need to eat at if you’re in the neighborhood.

The Food was absolutely amazing, we were the second Time there and would go there every time soon again.
The selection of vegetarian food is also very extensive.
I could recommend so many corses (spicy feta cheese cream, Greek salad, fried aubergine and zucchini, fried calamari and so much more). We ordered many different courses and everything was absolutely delicious.
The daily courses are also very delicious and are changed daily. I absolutely loved it. We enjoined our meal under a nice tree by the sea. We loved, and will come back!

We have been here on Crete for a few days now and have eaten well many times, but have not yet written a single review. Now I have to say: great location under the trees, friendly service, daily changing menu and delicious food. If you are on the beach there, make sure you stop here. My absolute recommendation: Cuttlefish Stifado... it was on the daily menu.

we´ve been several times at Delfini within the last 3 years (for lunch and dinner) and it was always perfect.
The staff is very friendly and a perfect team - we enjoyed the good food and the relaxed athmosphere. Thanks to the whole team (service and kitchen) - we´ll come again next year

It's a perfect restaurant in every way! Indeed, the service is fast, the view splendid, the food succulent and typical like the atmosphere that reigns there. In addition, the staff is very welcoming, pleasant and always attentive! A must!

If you would like an exquisitely relaxing all day experience by a beautiful white stone beach with crystal tirquoise warm water on comfortable white sunbeads or comfy lazy bags topped with excellent service, great fresh sea food and extremely kind and responaive staff, then Taverna Delfini is a must visit spot in the Kalamata area. Thank you for making our last vacation days simply wonderful!
