Highly recommend Kri Kri. We were a group of 6 friends, 3 couples, who all live on Crete and chose this taverna whilst on a day out in Plakias. It just looked really nice, and we were hungry! The service was very good, and we were offered separate menus according to our language (we are a mix of Swedish, English and Greek). It’s a slight cut above the normal tourist taverna, without being at all pompous. Very relaxed and of course a fantastic setting. We each had a different dish, and all commented on how delicious and tasty the food was. Only 4 stars as the minor gripe was the chairs weren’t comfortable after a couple of hours – but I think some places do that to turn around more covers! When we left the restaurant was pretty-much full, and neighbouring places far from it, so I guess it must have a good local reputation. Thank you for looking after us and the excellent food.

Popped in for lunch the food was delicious, we order a collection of appetisers and a main course. The service would have been a little friendlier which is the only reason for the 4 stars.
Reasonable price for the food and nice round table for us all to enjoy.
We ordered the fava beans, the stuffed eggplant, taziki, the vine leaves wraps were wonderful, the special of stuffed flowers , roasted vegetables and the warm fresh bread was a nice touch.

So we wanted a change from the Greek foods, so this restaurant offered Greek but stone baked pizzas freshly made. we were delighted with the choice if toppings and could even make our own favourites.
The pizzas are in two sizes and we went big! Omg they were huge and so very tasty.
They do provide boxes to take home!!
I would say this is a great family restaurant with a busy vibe.

We have been in Crete for 2 weeks and in Greece for a total of 6 weeks. The meal here was the worst of all of them. The place is always busy and I see all these good reviews and thought we would try it. “Service” was extremely slow and when someone was attending to us, we couldn’t hear them due to the profoundly and unnecessarily LOUD live music. There was no dinner conversation for the same reason. Food was also very slow to come out while many other guests who came after us were served their PIZZA (which seemed to be the biggest seller), before our cheeseburger and lamb shank. The lamb was dried out and totally UNSEASONED, it didn’t even have salt on it let alone a sauce or herb and was extremely greasy. The fries were even bad because the oil had a very “off” taste to it. It was also one of the most expensive “meals” we had while in Plakias. I think one thing I have learned is that many who write reviews seem to accept mediocrity as great food.

I stopped here for lunch and was not disappointed. I had the fava soup (I think it’s a dip for Greek folks) and it was the best I’ve ever had. Similar to split pea soup, it had olive oil, green onions, and capers. Delicious! Next I thought I’d try their cheeseburger. Wow! Excellent burger and excellent bacon on the burger. Even the fries were good.

Unfortunately, after more positive experiences in previous years, we have a rather negative impression this time: Rushed-looking staff with little attention to the individual guest, we had a very small table for 3 people, although the side table was empty throughout the visit and could easily have been pushed up. Salt and pepper as well as some cheese for the pasta were only available on request - there was hardly any room for it on the table. No more (red) house wine as in previous years, instead only (more expensive) bottled wines. For some guests at the side tables, they still had melon and raki after paying the bill. Not for us despite demand - the reason remains open, we were very friendly to the staff. Price for 2 adults + 1 child for 1 salad, 2 pastas, 1 cheeseburger, Fanta and red wine 75 euros just fine. Due to the numerous excellent alternatives for us now not first choice in Plakias.

Visited on a Wednesday evening at around 8.30pm and it was full of locals and tourists. We were happy to wait, and ordered the special pizza to share along with red wine. Bread sticks came with a dip and water which occupied us while we waited. Happy to report the pizza was great and we even have some leftovers for breakfast tomorrow.

The grilled shrimps here are to die for!
Even when I'm thinking about the right now my mouth starts salivating 🤤
.
We started off with fried zucchini, tatziki and some bread for starters (the fried zucchini was perfectly light and not too much flavor)
Before we could finish the starter they served us the grilled shrimps for our main course. I was a bit sceptical before I ordered but my gawd I was wrong!
The texture on the shrimps was perfect, moist and melted in the mouth.
A lot of seasoning but not hot. It was also served with a light salad coated in a nice vinaigrette.
If you're staying in plakias or just stop by here for a bite I would highly recommend "KriKri"

We were 2 people, sombra had to share a pizza and Greek together for lunch. There was a little bit of feta cheese on the salad. The pizza was as expected.
Even though it was lunch they brought the obligatory bread 3.60€ and water 1€ without asking, it's just becoming a bad style in general, at least here in Plakias.

Great food , good wine, friendly staff , good cocktails, usual Greek fare but superior . Good house wine served with proper wine glasses . A full meal for 4 cost us about 80 euros with drinks .
The best restaurant we found in Plakias by far

Impossible. From the beginning..the food ( 2 pizzas ) was very good. But now comes...we entered the well-filled loco at 8.45pm. Around 9.15 p.m. we finally got the food and drink menu....it took another 30 minutes for a waiter to take up our order. I then wanted to place our order...Unfortunately he did not listen at all....in the middle of the sentence he walked away and turned to other guests...cheekiness. After another 10 min he came back to pick up the order. After that everything went normally and we were able to leave the restaurant around 10.40pm

Beautiful decoration, clean place but overpriced and very expensive. The portions do not match the prices. Certainly one does not expect anyone, apart from the classic pizza size, to pay a very expensive dish for a small amount... The garlic bread at €5.5 was a joke, which was like a Thessaloniki bun and in fact unflavored!

Great selection and infusion of flavours. Portion size very large so be mindful of this when ordering main meals. I had the sea bass which was so fresh it fell of the fork. I wasn’t keen on the side veg and deep fried potato ribbons but I imagine that was my taste. Beautiful carbonara and my husband said his lamb chops was the best yet. Cocktails were also unique and delicious

Good food. Their yoghurt chicken is amazing. Also a simple thing as lasagna is amazing here. Their goat cheese and strawberry salad is amazing!! The cake they deliever for free with payment is really bad but can’t complain on that.
