As always I have a look at the worst reviews first and I have to say that having travelled round the greek islands for over 40yrs, there are definitely no negative features about this delightful taverna. The choices on the menu were extensive, food quality was very good and the price represented excellent value. Will definitely be visiting again.

We've visited the Paligremnos taverna many times in the last 10 years and it remains one of our favourite places. This summer we ate here 4 times. The garden setting is beautiful - it's peaceful and cool shaded with trees. The food quality is always excellent using local ingredients and cooked with real care and pride. The staff are always really welcoming and friendly. It's a really lovely experience visiting here at any time of day.

We visited the restaurant after having spent the morning on the beach across the street.
The restaurant has a nice garden with trees that offer shadow and a spacious parking area.
4 out of 5 is a result of
service 5/5 as they are polite and fast.
Cleanliness is also a 5/5 as all areas have been very clean
Food scores a 4/5. Dishes were well cooked but missed the perfection.
value for money: it is between 3-4 /5 because some portions were really small .

You get bread and water unsolicited, but it's on the bill.
The Greek salad was absolutely unacceptable: lots of tomatoes, very unripe olives, two half rings of onions and the thinnest slice of feta I have ever seen. Without dressing. The olive oil at the table was rancid... after I claimed it, they just poured it on.

The first time we ate tzaziki, Greek salad and deep-fried calamari. Typically, you get bread and water, so I have to contradict the previous speakers, which is so common in Greece.
Olives small and woody, otherwise everything was ok, especially the terrace is very nice.
A day later we were there again. The salad was now missing the olives, the pizza was very bad. A finished blank with ketchup and cheese, really gross.

This place makes very good coffee, staff is polite and sunbeds are at very low prices. If you come to Plakias beach, you should visit. We did not eat at the tavern, though, so the rating is for the beach bar /coffee house.

This is a wonderful traditional Greek family run taverna located at the eastern end of plakias beach. My accommodation is next door and I have had no reason to look for anywhere else to eat. The food is of high quality and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. There is always a warm atmosphere. Probably the best taverna in plakias 😊

We have been visiting Plakias for the past four years, and this year we finally tried Taverna Paligremnos. It did not disappoint at all!
The ambiance at Taverna Paligremnos is charming, making it a delightful place to enjoy a meal.
The staff are welcoming and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
We had both breakfast and lunch here, and the selection for both was great. The food is really good, with a variety of options to choose from.
Taverna Paligremnos exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Plakias!

Lovely taverna set in a traditional garden. Friendly service, lots of home cooking Greek style. Plenty of food choices. Just across the road from their beach bar with umbrellas and sun beds. An ideal location.

Dinner in the evening. Three families. Service set operation. The food was average but the rabbit was good!

Small portions and at time of visiting had screaming kids from other tables around us while we ate. Alot better value and service available closer to village, not worth a trip away from plakias!

Dined here with friends on one of our visits to Plakias this yeaar. The Cuisine and Anbiance were as usual Excellent; And Value for money.
The Beach Bar run by The Taberna is Better than ever: Having visited nemerous times per annun over numerous years.
Great service, Good Selection of chilled beers and wines.
