What an amazing restaurant!Definetely try the lamb chops and the stuffed “bifteki”with feta cheese.Being Greek l know what l’m talking about.The portions are extra large just like the owner who represents Greek hospitality in the best possible way. As for the prices,you won’t believe your eyes!!!One of the best Greek tavernas in Crete!!!

Great traditional taverna with lovely view

We really enjoyed our two visits to this taverna. We ate both lunch and dinner here. The fish we had was very fresh and cooked really well. The plate of lamb chops was enormous! This is a traditional taverna with great hospitality, friendly staff and a lively atmosphere. We'll definitely return in the future.

We ate here in 2020 and again the other night. The portion sizes were very generous in 2020 and this is still the same. We started with complimentary garlic bread and I must say that this is very good. We had a Greek salad and Chicken souvlaki to share and there was more than enough food, I initially tried to order more Chips but the waiter stated that there would be enough and he wasn't wrong. They then brought out complimentary Melon and of course Raki. All the food was wonderful, great view and a lovely atmosphere, friendly waiters. I would highly recommend visiting here as its some of the best food we have had on this visit to Plakias. Would definitely return Thankyou :-)

Nice place, food ok.

As the name suggests one of the few places to escape the wind today. Tables a little close together for covid but a nice family atmosphere. The giant pork chop was nicely grilled but would have preferred it without being smothered by the bottle of marinade. Tasted like American mustard and origano but it was good enough to stand on its own.

Unfortunately our food was lukewarm and the gyros meat was pretty tough and fatty, I couldn't even drink the red wine it was so inedible. But the starters were very tasty and the portions were very large. The service was also a bit slow and we had to wait 30 minutes for the bill.

Some of the best food in Plakias. Our third year of visiting and it never disappoints. Friendly staff, served quickly and very generous portions. visited twice and had, Greek salad and Lamb chops, then Greek salad and Veal chops, both very delicious meals and very reasonably priced. See you next year.

The service was unusual for a restaurant that wants to give its guests a pleasant evening. Garlic bread was served without any indication that this did not represent a greeting from the kitchen, but is payable. Best tavern in Plakias

Mega good food! Don't be put off by the price, large tasty portions, nice service. Top location! We can recommend lamb, moussaka and grilled food that is grilled on olive wood. The starters are also great (homemade chips...). It's a bit rustic here but that doesn't bother us. Best tavern in Plakias, we've been there 4 times this week and everything is really good 👍 If you're nearby, be sure to stop by

Great Food and Staff

My wife and i ate here on our last day for lunch before we went to the Airport. We wish we had gone here earlier in the week. The staff were very friendly and very traditionally Greek. Great choice of food. We had Mousaka and Swordfish, which were both huge portions. I have never seen a Sworfish portion so big. Very well cooked, presented and tasted delicious. Free Garlic Bread to start. Large Draught Beer 3 euro, cheapest in town. Highly recommended at the beginning of your stay as i am sure you will revisit within the week.

I would highly recommend this place. The food is deliciously tasty and fresh. I highly recommend the black bean salad (V). The location is beautiful, right on the beach front. The staff are friendly, approachable and speak perfect English. We were served by 'Martin' who is a true asset to your team. I will see you again soon.

The shop is nicely located, a bit more rustic than some other taverns in Plakias but just because of that very welcoming for us. We liked the food excellently, especially nice that there was actually a small side salad for every dish we tried, no standard elsewhere. We can't say anything about the appetizers except for the garlic bread (highly recommended), because the portions are generally very extensive and we have therefore dispensed with them.

Excellent tavern, with always excellent dishes. I recommend the grilled fish, especially calamari and octopus. The starter, bread with oil, garlic and oregano, is also excellent. Very kind staff; above all the boss, attentive and polite.

This is exactly (!) how I imagine Cretan cuisine! Location 1a. Authentic, rustic and down-to-earth. Taramar and tzatziki are fantastic, all grilled dishes are exemplary and plentiful. And the prices are just right. In our opinion, one of the best tavernas in Plakias if you don't need all the frills.
