The restaurant is right on the beach. offers great shade and the waiters are very friendly. Food was really delicious and portions very very generous. We ordered two salads, graviera saganaki (pan-seared Greek cheese gruyere) and a dish that was minced meat cooked in a variety of different cheeses. As you see in the pictures, portions were beyond generous and really really taste. Very high value for money. Other than this, our waiter, Petros was very friendly, he explained to us in great detail the different specialties and at the end (as is the tradition) we were offered a really nice dessert (on the house). This place also offers good shade, which was especially needed the really hot day we visited. They also rent umbrellas and sun beds down at the beach, which came of good use after our food comma! :-) Definitely a place to check out when you visit the beautiful place of Plakias.

Very good dishes, very good prices (compared to Italy less than half) fresh fish and abundant quantities. We had a bottle of big beer, a water, a grill of mixed fish for one person (it was a lot!), fried sardines and delicious stuffed mussels. Offered candy and raki. 45 euros in two. Great place! Rustic in appearance, there is a nice garden with plenty of shade and around 20 tables. The sea food grill is exquisite. The grilled squid and the octopus are soft, a pleasure to eat. The grilled dorada is also great and you should always start with a tsatsiki as appetizer. I have also tried the mixed grill (pork, chicken, lamb) and the chicken kebab. My son was very satisfied with the spaghetti bolognese - so much that he ordered them several days in a row. On top of that, the prices are very affordable. The sea food mixed grill for two, at 36 euro, was enough for 3 people.

Best thing about it it the setting

The setting is truly beautiful, the tables are in a grove of olives, just over the road from the wonderful Plakias beach, but that is were the wonderful stops. The menu is fairly standard for the area, not a bad thing, but nothing special. We ordered Chicken Kebab, pork kebab and a ham and cheese omelette. The kebabs came with a few limp lettuce leaves, some tomato and some slightly rubbery fries, the omelette came with no side at all. The bread cover (standard in these parts) arrived with the meals, (not standard) and it was all delivered by serving staff who gave the impression that they did not want to be there. Once our mains were finished they did serve a tiny lemon cheesecake and a few shots of reiki which was a lovely end to an ‘Ok’ Dining experience. I would not say this is one to avoid, but there are much better options along this strip of beach

Last night, we had dinner in this typical tavern during our stay in Plakias. What can I say: we had a dinner exclusively based on fish and we were enthusiastic about it; Very fresh fish cooked to perfection. We started with a delicious tomato, onion and black olive salad; in the simplicity of the dish the tomatoes are extremely tasty, unlike the Italian ones which taste like nothing; continuing we tasted a generous plate of fried sardines and as the main course we opted for both fried and grilled calamari, to say they are good is an understatement. Absolutely delicious, we came last year and here we are again, we are not disappointed! The waiters are just adorable, nice and with humor, it's always appreciable! We ate a saganaki, zucchini balls, tzatziki and a mixed plate of meat and it was divine, although very hearty! Award quality ratio is very good. A little wait for the service but it must be said that the restaurant (about 35 tables!) was full to bursting and that's a good sign, so it was largely understandable, and then we are on vacation, so cool! We had a portion of grilled shrimp, a portion of soutzoukakia (very special sauced meatballs) and bream and cheese (Greek vegetable grill). We had a super delicious starter plate with at least 10 different delicacies and Antoni's salad, and for the main course grilled sea bream with grilled vegetables and rice-filled zucchini flowers.
