You probably know about 1860 and Currylicious on Malibongwe - but strangely enough, one would not expect another curry house to spring up within walking distance of the other two.
Well, I guess if you have a quality product to boast about - you would...take the risk. And that appears exactly what the owner of this establishment has done.
Visited them for a 21st Party on the 11 March 2017, and was surprised to find this cosy little venue right next door to the News Café. (So yes, parking does become a bone of contention later on in the evening)
On the plus side, you can book this out for a intimate little function. Fully licensed and well stocked! Music system to set the mood of the occasion.
But what about the food I hear you ask.....well let's just say, I left the best for last.
Dali's has a variety of cuisine on offer, and we where fortunate enough to sample their snacks, mains and dessert....(though sample isn't actually the word I should use when it comes to Dali's portions!)
The samosas were fried fresh and where very tasty, the spring rolls were also great. On offer for mains, they had Mutton Curry, Chicken Curry, Fish Biryani and a variety of vegetable curry dishes. Rice and Roti supplemented the starch, and the salads where great as well.
No Indian meal is complete without dessert, and the Soji was also very very tasty...if you craving a wedding style soji, you can't go wrong.
Aside from this, the venue is great - clean and well maintained.
Well Dali's, you on to something special.More
DALI Restaurant & Take Away
The best curry I've eaten ever. I've traveled extensively but have never experienced such amazing service coupled with absolutely great food like this. The owner Restaurateur Deva Moodley is one of a kind person and will go out of his...way to ensure every single patron is personally attended to by himself.More
Deva serves delicious SA Indian food.
We've tried most of the dishes and they are superb. He uses high quality ingredients and you can taste the results!
From exotic trotters to "bunny chows", every dish is yummy!
And keep some space for the mouthwatering Soji...!!!
It's a restaurant we intend visiting often.More
