We regularly eat at Cafe Duarte. It's our go-to neighbourhood spot when we feel like something quick to eat and when there is no power in our area. The food is always delicious and the service is great (especially Melody). The prices are also reasonable....If you're looking for a cozy, easy going place to eat, this is it!More

We waited for about 10 minutes before our drink orders were taken and actually had to signal a waiter for assistance. Same thing after our drinks got dropped we waited for ages before our food order was taken. Our waitress, Buhle was friendly but our...food took another 40 minutes to come, which was 2 burgers and French toast. People that arrived after us got their food first. When I asked her about it, she said their was a mix up in the kitchen and apologised. After we finished our meal, our table was not cleared and guess what no one came to check on us until we signaled that we wanted our bill. The manager Chris came to assist us and I mentioned the bad experience. Our kids had to wait for almost an hour for French roast. Chris just laughed it off!More

We found this little hideaway by luck and it turned out to be a real treat. All the food is freshly made and delivered by really attentive staff. The meals are reasonably priced yet full of taste and abundant. The cakes look awesome and we...hope to try one of them when we next visit, which is a definite !!More

I will never set foot in this restaurant again. First impressions last. We were totally ignored, not even greeted on arrival. We looked at the menus, got up and left. We were thanked on our way out and we hadn’t even ordered anything! We decided...to go and enjoy breakfast elsewhere. So glad we did!More

What can I say? Incredible food, amazing people, brilliant craft G&T, affordable prices.... Every single thing we ate was just perfect, but for me the home-made pasta was the star of the show... The Marinela was sooooooo good!! Duarte and Marinela - thank you. Just...stunning.More

I have been to Cafe Duarte twice now, once for breakfast and once for lunch. They offer amazing breakfasts, pao, pastas and more. They also offer 1 craft beer on tap (Jackhammer). From the boards I viewed that they have happy hour during the week....Highly recommendedMore

We used to come to Cafe Duarte very often. Now we're living far away. We were in the neighbourhood so stopped in for a meal. My husband had the Cafe D Steak. It used to be served with mussels on top and a wonderful wine...sauce. That's now been changed to a mushroom sauce (no mussels). It was OK, but not as special as the previous version. I had the marine combo which was very good - grilled calamari (excellent!) and grilled hake (cooked perfectly). We enjoyed seeing of the staff who've been there for awhile. Great place to chill for a bit and get some decent food.More
