Incredible decoration with Portuguese azuléjos, bricks, firewood, French corner and a nice garden. Good food, partly Texmex (tapas and meat) partly Italian (pizza and tramezzini). A good experience on our way to the North.

The setting is lovely with the restaurant and tables built in and around lots of trees. We had pizza for lunch which was excellent but the dinner was very disappointing, it was delivered to our room as the restaurant closes early on Sundays. The burgers...were very dry, buns hard and no sauces to dip the chips in which were also dry. Garden Suite room was overpriced, needs maintenance and better quality furnishings for the price.More

We attended a wedding on the 26 February! Beautiful setting, good service, and the food was great! I can highly recommend this establishment!

We went to Black Horse on their mid-week special for our 20 year wedding anniversary. The value for money was exceptional! The room was beautiful with the best view in the world. The 3 course dinner was delicious. The breakfast was fantastic. We received free...beer in our room also. The service was always friendly and welcoming. We did a gin tasting which was also a lot of fun. The craft beer was great. We will definitely go back and we will take friends along next time!!More

We had valentine's lunch and spent the night at the Black Horse Estate - it was great! Service, accommodation and food were all amazing.

Very enjoyable stay, BEAUTIFUL, tranquil surroundings. Our "Ivy" room is situated underneath/between large beautiful trees, totally covered with Ivy's, what a beautiful picture. Our experience having dinner at the restaurant, was amazing. Friendly and efficient staff and the chef, goes out of his way accommodating...his customer's needs. The only negative comments I have was, I would have liked to be informed about the hours when dinner starts (18h00), when the restaurant closes (20h00) as well as breakfast that only starts at 09h00. This is an issue for us working people, you only arrive at the venue just before six, now you want to unpack, relax, enjoy the beautiful nature and setting before going to dinner - now you have only two hours to settle in, have a drink or two, have the three course meal (which was out of this world, GOOD quality and good value for money) - a bit rushed. Then leaving next morning for work it would be ideal for breakfast to be served from 7h00. Cannot have breakfast only at 09h00 and then get to work by lunch time??? This is the only negatives I have - otherwise a FABULOUS EXPERIENCE, will definitely book again - as pensioners still having a half day job, the special offer is affordable. APOLOGIES for the negative to point out - no Wi-Fi and count not make use of any TV activity or program. - no reception/connection. So we had this BEAUTIFUL venue, tranquil atmosphere, AWESOME restaurant, restaurant chef & staff, but unfortunately unit (although a STUNNING SETTING & views), had some shortcomings, being Wi-Fi reception, TV (could not watch anything???) and a bit of maintenance (blinds) that needed attention. Taking all this into consideration and surely the negatives will be attended to, I can recommend this venue to everyone and will be back myself.More
