One of the few decent places to eat on Simonstown Main Road, so tired of average food that clearly comes out of a frozen box. Simons Town lacks good restaurants. Most venues in this area have only take-away quality. Not many evening dinner options in...the area, frankly. Good staff, good service here, breakfast looks yummy will try that next time.More

What a lovely restaurant. Very friendly and enjoyed a early morning coffee and as we enjoyed the coffee and ambiance so much we decided to have more coffee followed by a breakfast but to our surprise a family arrived with two dogs and which happened...to be inside. We were appalled and surely a definite breech of health and safety regulations. Unfortunately did not get to enjoy their breakfast and will not be returning.More

Situated in the main street in Simon's Town, this is a relaxed cafe for a lunch. The menu is predominantly seafood but they also have variety of pasta, vegetarian and meat dishes. There is no children's menu or high chair fyi. I had the Jamie's...fish and chips and my partner the vegetarian lasagne. We both enjoyed our mains. Our daughter had a couple of side dishes (chips and baby vegetables). Service was fine and the price on par with other cafes in and and around the CapeMore

We were recommended by our Hotel manager at the Willets Hotel to visit this gem. Lucky to get the last reservation on the Friday for the Saturday we were looking forward to the experience. From beginning to end, the experience was wonderful. The owner and...main chef is very attentive and checked in with us on the wine order, specialities and during our dinner. Seeing that the line fish is freshly caught and bought-in daily it was our choice. Our meals were presented beautifully and the flavors burts in one's mouth. Will definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for something more personalized.More

Superb service, good food & good prices, with the added entertainment of baboons in the street outside. Thanks Lucy, Michael, & Ryan - my wife & stepson thoroughly tonight.

We were staying at Residence William French in January 23 and William recommended the lighthouse cafe and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent despite the kitchen having to work around power outages. I particularly enjoyed the mussels but great service and decent value...for excellent food.More

Recommended to us. Needed to book as very popular. Located on the main road through Simon's Town in an unprepossessing row of shops and very ordinary inside with not many tables. From then on, superb - excellent, friendly service and brilliant sea food. Yellowtail still...dripping from the sea, it was so fresh! Wish we had time to come back again. Cannot recommend highly enough.More

Popped into The Lighthouse Cafe on our way back to Cape Town from Boulders Beach. Lovely little cafe, situated right on the main road through Simon's Town opposite the naval base. We were pleasantly surprised by the pretty extensive menu. The salad was excellent (and...huge) as were the tempura prawns. Friendly service and hence a great option in Simon's Town.More

We were here in this restaurant already last year, and now we came back and were not at all disappointed. This tiny restaurant with retro decorations is a pleasant experience. The food is excellent, and the service is fantastic.

Great little cafe, great food and great staff. Was busy when we walked past, which is always a good sign, but we decided to eat at 4pm and it was quiet before getting full again
