We invited friends for breakfast and unfortunately, as we were not familiar with Mossel Bay, we ended up at La Baquette in the Langeberg Mall. The service were poor and the food were poor. My wife ordered quite a pricy avocado salad, but it consisted...90% out of bread, that she would not eat. They served cold coffee, after I had told them I want hot coffee with hot milk. Both the bacon and the eggs were cold. And all the time one or other machine were making an excessive noise. They will not see us again.More

The service was good and breakfast was good. The infernal espresso machine makes a noise that kills all conversation and can probably be heard up to George. Other than that, our experience over 5 or 6 visits over the last year was quite OK. Not...breathtaking, but I can't identify a reason why not to go there.More

The La Baguette Bakery is not at all suitable for families. It is not child friendly and I would only suggest it to pensioners and other older people. The food on the menu isn't child friendly either, it includes soups and quiches.

After going to Mossel Bay at last 4 months per year for the last few years we decided to give this place a try! How disappointed we were - we walked out after having our drinks (And paying for it)! They were relatively quiet when...we visited them on the 3rd of January 2015! We ordered a Large Orange Juice after confirming with the waitress that its pure orange juice as I do not drink orange juice mixed with other fruits, I confirmed this a few times. She indicated its pure! While she went to fetch our drinks we checked the menu for breakfast! We were amazed to find that a normal breakfast with 2 rashers of bacon, chips and egg costs almost R50! These breakfasts barely costs R30 at any of the other restaurants such as Wimpy, etc! What are these guys serving! Out of principle we decided not to eat there. Then our orange juice was served. Hot and not clearly tasting of fruit mix! I inquired about why they could not serve cold orange juice and there were no comment or effort to correct or at least bring the ice I asked for,. Needless to say we paid for the "juice" and walked out! I get the feeling this is one of the restaurants with a holiday price menu and an out of season menu! I will test this when visiting Mossel Bay out of season and update this post! I will however never visit or recommend this restaurant to anyone! They might be a good bakery though - however I will have to still try their bakes!More

Our favourite for breakfasts. Nice food, good service. A large variety of homemade breads available. A very large menu, something for everybody.

This owner is extremely rude and ridiculous, food mediocre. Was given a smoothie with a chipped glass and ended up finding the missing piece in my mouth. Thankfully unhurt, I asked politely if I was still being charged for the drink; it was easily took...the drink off the bill, but the owner came from across the room to yell at me in the middle of the restaurant and aggressively accuse me of hitting my tooth on the glass and breaking it. After five minutes of being berated by this woman, we left. I had been drinking out of a straw. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. NOT WORTH IT.More

Hidden away near entrance one at the Langeberg Mall where all the banks are situated. A cafe atmosphere. All bread wood fired, the most amazing aroma all day long. The food is excellent and a reasonable variety. Service is also good.

If you into wood fired artisan bread then I highly recommend La Baguette. They have a wide variety of sourdough breads availible that are made by hand with the best ingredients - stone ground flour, organic salt and purified water.
