I visited the Butchers Crossing a few times now and I can honestly say they serve the best steak I’ve had at any restaurant. The fact that you can come in and see the cut of meat you want and choose the weight as well gives one a feeling of personalised service. The ladies on the floor does their upmost to keep the wine glass full and a smile on your face. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy a nice cozy evening with friends or loved ones.

Dining alone as I was on a business trip, I was made to feel most welcome. I had been dying to have a good steak and I was not disappointed. The waitress went out of her way to personally select a good cut for me and it was cooked to absolute perfection, served with creamed spinach and butternut. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

From the warm reception by a very friendly, highly professional Marinda, to our final goodbyes were one of the best experiences in a long time. The menu was perfect, not overcrowded - just enough items to satisfy the most discerning tastebuds. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. Succulent!! The side dishes were FANTASTIC! Best onion rings ever. The spinach was truly exceptionally good, properly washed with just the right creaminess. The service was great! Delicious food, great atmosphère and world class service without any pretentiousness. Did I mention THE GREAT MUSIC? We will certainly return to this gem. The cherry on the cake, was Marinda arranging transport home and the most delicious coffee chocolate truffels.

Generally it is difficult to satisfy a large group and there is normally someone with a complaint but not in this instance. These guys are the real deal. To satisfy those meaty cravings there is no better than Butcher's Crossing. Their servers Anam, Colet and Zjané will make your experience unforgettable.

This is the morning after dining out at Buthers Crossing, Mossel Bay and we are still pondering on the meal. We ordered their rump steak. Compliments to the chef! It was excellently prepaired as ordered - succulent, tender and tasty. The extra chips, veggies and pap were delicious and more than enough. The ambiance well set. Thanks Mariaan for your friendly and helpful waitering. This was value for money well spent and will definitely visit again and bring our friends!

We chose the filet steaks from the meat on display. It was perfectly grilled to medium rare. The chips were soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. Elegant room. Efficient friendly service. Extensive wine list. First rate dining experience. Highly recommended.

Visited here with a close friend recently.
We were greeted on arrival by the manageress and the sole waitron, and seated immediately, a simple accomplishment because we were the only patrons here.
This establishment was previously a station waiting room and the ambience precisely matched its previous function.
My friend decided on the beef fillet, rare with a pepper sauce. It duly arrived, no long wait involved. He pronounced himself satisfied, in all respects, sauce, chips and all.
I briefly vacillated between The ribeye and the Beef ribs, ultimately settling I. the beef ribs.
Evidently this caused some confusion, because when my dish arrived, it turned out to be the Ribs and not the Ribeye.
I decided not to send the ribs back, and rather just to go with what had been delivered.
Well, the ribs were dismal. Some disjointed fragments of carcass arrived with absolutely no indication that they had ever been components on any kind of ribcage.
There was some flesh adhering to various short lengths of sinew and gristle that proved impervious to my utensils, never mind my teeth. This was somewhat short of expectations.
Our meal was rounded off by two excellent Dom Pedro's, served by our attentive pleasant waitress.
Pricewise, also, this is no bargain.

This was the worst restaurant that we visited during our 4 week SA holiday. Waited more than 30 minutes for a waiter to take our order. Then it took them over an hour to serve our food. It was only served after we asked about it. By then the steak was cold, and orders were not correct. The kudu steak tasted like beef. This place actually deserves a “0” rating.

Very fresh meat to choose from on display. Several nice starters, 4 different style carpaccio, like springbok and crocodile. Well prepared and very tasteful.
The Kudu was prepared perfect medium rare to our taste. The desserts were also very nice.
Our waitress Tanika was very helpful and patient in explaining the options, very friendly. Even ran to the restaurant next door to get dessert :)

Really enjoyed this steak meal - nice, comfortable intimate surroundings, great food and fantastic service. Our special request and pre-paid drinks for a friend we recommended to come several weeks later paid off brilliantly! Thank you to all involved. Will continue to highly recommend this place!

If you want to have a special evening with family or friends come to the Butcher's Crossing.
What a fantastic evening I had, with excellent service and steaks that were cooked to perfection.
Tanika gave us great service and made our evening.
We will definitely be visiting The Butcher's Crossing soon again.

We had the pleasure to dine at the Butchers crossing a couple of times. Absolutely the best steak in Town. Cooked to perfection! Love the ambiance. Friendly and efficient service. Awesome, a must try!

Wow, what an amazing experience. The steak was a great quality. I can compare it to hassar Grill / crawdaddys A very classy restaurant. The food was amazing. The waiters are very professional. We would really recommend this restaurant. Thank you Butchers Crossing Grill House Mossel Bay.

This was our first visit to Butchers crossing and it was awesome. The service was impeccable and very professional. Our steaks were succulent and done to perfection. Well done this is our new Mossel Bay spot, see u in March again!
