The Cafe Gannet has been around for many years and is always a good place for a decent meal. It was a quiet Friday night but they were expecting a coach of tourists a little later in the evening. The fish and chips (Hake) is...More

No fine dining experience but did what it sets out to do pretty well. Just a pity that it there doesn't seem to be anywhere in Mossel Bay at a higher level.

I had the Red Chilli & Lime hake today. It was absolutely sublime. Who knew fish could be so tender... Thanks for an outstanding lunch. Gareth and Janine are superb hosts, and deserve to be visited when next you are in Mosselbay.

We got there too late to enjoy the sunset from the garden, but are assured that this is worthwhile. Because it was a cool evening, we ate inside at a pleasant table well separated from its neighbours. The menu is mostly locally caught seafood and...More

Hi, we have dinner booked to celebrate a friend's birthday but just found out she's not a huge fan of seafood unfortunately. Is there alternatives on the menu? I can't find the menu online. Thanks

Yes they did appear to have more on menu than just seafood Sorry I can't be more helpful as we are big fish eaters ,it's the first thing we usually look for Apologies if this reply came to late
Would you allow a small, quiet dog on a leash in the outdoor area?

The Café Gannet Restaurant is Mossel Bay's seafood House. Acclaimed for local seafood specialties, ingeniously prepared. Coastal oysters, black mussels and Mossel Bay Sole are delivered daily from the harbour to make a delectable and varied a la carte menu, which includes pizza, salads, meat dishes, light lunches and Rainbow Cuisine.

For a relaxing afternoon, come and enjoy a cocktail overlooking the Indian Ocean...

The Cafe Gannet is a great treat, which will please the most discerning palate - very trendy, so bookings are recommended.
