I have never seen food so beautifully presented in a long while. There was a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and it was full and buzzing. The waitresses were cheerful and attentive. There was a good wine selection too. The cost worked out at about £10 a head including wine. Great value

What a truly delightful experience!!! Wow!!! The restaurant is fairly big, however you will never know there is someone sitting close to you! The wine list is really good and the service was excellent!! The starters were really really good!! We enjoyed the Asian fish cakes and the broth... Filled with bags of flavour!! The main course was just as... More

We chose this restaurant as it was rated on Trip Advisor as the #1 pick for seafood in the area. Our meal started fairly promisingly with enormous servings of sushi that was all fresh and nicely presented. The main course was the king klip in filo parcels which I was looking forward to having read rave reviews on TA. Rather... More

this is a superb restaurant, and as we had not booked a table, we waited with a drink in the bar; the buzz was lovely, especially when I saw the bell to be rung when whales or dolphins are spotted! the place has excellent staff and a very diverse menu, and for it's standard, very good value for money. We felt lucky to get a reservation at this restaurant. It was very crowded when we arrived and yet our waitress came over immediately with menus. This is a restaurant for fish and it's very fresh and well prepared. One of the people at our table ordered the fish & chips - it was enormous! Actually, all dishes were super... More

Very nice restaurant, very kind and professional service, normally better to make a reservation if you come for lunch or dinner, you also can just go to the front part, were you have a beautiful view, and just enjoy a nice drink

The sushi and fish was very good. My husband had steak and it was done to his taste. Good service but a bit pricey.

a privately run restaurant attached to The Protea Hotel where space was always available for hotel guests. A great perk was they allowed you to bring in your own wine ( if Hotel Guest for a very nominal corkage and there were 2 very good wine shops in Hermanus to choose. Food was very well cooked , plentiful and good... More

It's a large restaurant and booking is vital, even if you are staying at the hotel. The place was buzzing on both nights that we went there and that included all the tables outside. Good job it was warm!
