Always a must visit when in town. Unfortunately, with each visit, this restaurant is just not up to standard except for the great views. My huntersdry and wine was sub standard hot. Not even ice helped. We ordered one starter mushrooms and waited 45 minutes,...and the restaurant was not that full. Asked the waiter several times to please follow up on our order. When I went to complain with a manager, the mushroom starter arrived, but it was soggy, undercooked, and obviously made in a rush. We love Delfinios, but the food takes forever, and the drinks are served below standard hot. 6 weeks later and I'm adding another not favorable review. Delfinios has the slowest service ever! There were only 6 tables in the entire restaurant. Yet. Our waiter was non-existent. We had to flag down a waiter each time we needed one. Our waiter was at the table twice during our whole 2 hours spent there. Another complaint. It's winter time , yet they have no sherry. Nothing! The portion was generous and the food delious, but the waiter didn't bother to ask how we would like our prawns done. It was totally drenched in garlic, lemon butter sauce. We don't eat garlic and don't like sauce on our prawns. Delfinios, as previously said, has stunning views. Great food, but the service is terrible and getting worse with each visit.More

We had to wait more than an hour for our food to be served. This is simply not acceptable. The place was not even very full, so there is no excuse.

On the 23rd March, whilst lunching upstairs from Delfinos restaurant, my family and I were approached at the Kingfisher restaurant, by an extremely rude and obnoxious Johan, manager of Delfinos and a member of his staff compliment. He accused my son, without any evidence, of...the transgression, with his staff member, who herself was doubtful of who or what she had experienced. He insulted us with insinuations and accusations, and eventually when he realized that he had no leg to stand on, no eye witness, evidence or proof of any kind (bear in mind there's security cameras around) he proceeded to name calling, referring to us as "these people", and left the restaurant Kingfisher. I approached him downstairs at his restaurant, asking him for clarity on his remarks and comments, and to understand why he had approached my family. It is here that he became verbally abusive tried to intimidate us, claiming to own the establishment and threatening us. As it turned out, there was a water drip from a gutter, due to the rains, and a drop of water had fallen onto the waitress. I demand that the owner contact me to explain why Johan couldn't or didn't approach Dave, the manager of Kingfisher, to address the situation. Is it common practice to walk into establishments in Mossel Bay and start dishing out accusations to kids, or is that behavior reserved for people of color only? Dave, by his own admission, stated that my son was extremely well behaved. Johan is not fit for any role where he engages anyone from the general public, and I am considering laying a formal charge at the local SAPS for the racial slurs and physical ************ aimed at my extended family, my wife and I.More

Maybe okey for hake & chips or pizza. My son had beef ribs and according to him it was "okey". Doing my best to treat him to a nice farewell dinner, this was ñ failure.

We had a very bad experience on Monday and feel obliged to report on it. We are travelling throughout SA and see a lot of overseas Tourist are back and we would feel ashamed if they had seen this. * We order coffee with hot...milk, milk came cold. * We order breakfast with toast, no toast arrives. Waiter brings toast with no plate to put it on. Main plates were already removed * Cutlery was very dirty with egg still on it. * Nobody ever comes past to ask if all ok. Nobody in sight. Oh my goodness what a bad expierience at such a wonderfull venue. Staff need serious training and Manager needs to be replaced.More

Beautiful setting but sadly the food and service were below average. What a waste of money. Took 30 minutes to come back to the table and tell us that the dish was unavailable. Then another 30 minutes for a a very soggy eggs on toast...to arrive. Food was over salted just horrible.More

Visiting Mossel Bay, by Cruise Ship for the first time, we took a coastal walk to the lighthouse and found this restaurant on the shore with amazing views out to sea, over the rocks & beach, with the light house high above us. We found other...passengers from our ship also dining here, so decided to stop for lunch. Quite an extensive menu, decided to try some Seafood & salad and after being warned about the size of their portions, went for a Seafood Platter for one; it was huge(see photo)a full portion of battered Hake, big portion of Calamari & 6 huge Prawns(possibly small lagoustine!!) fried in Garlic Butter, with chips & a house salad; an absolute feast, which we struggled to finish. Food was excellent, service a bit slow, prices reasonable & the views a bonus. Note that there are quite a variety of iffy reviews, but we certainly enjoyed our visit.More

After waiting 45 minutes for food we were told that our food has now been given to somebody else and the kitchen had to restart our order. Upon enquiry, management told us that Mossel Bay people just want to complain constantly and that we should...rather pay for our drinks and leave. Not even a word of sorry was mentioned. I felt sorry for the poor waiter who has to work there.More

Delfino's is blessed with an amazing view and location but poor quality food which is also expensive . The staff just do not want to be there. This place could do so much better, the menu is pages and pages long which is never a...good thing. My meal was way below average, something I could have easily picked up in a fast food restaurant for a fraction of the price. I do not recommend at all.More

I visited Delfino’s with my wife for a couple of beers after a nice walk along the coast. We asked for a table for 2 and were advised to find a table we liked. All good so far! There were plenty of waiting staff, mainly...at the till talking & laughing with one another & there were around a quarter of the tables being used so it wasn’t particularly busy. After 15 minutes of being ignored I asked a waiter for help, 10 minutes later another waiter appeared & took our order. After another 15 minutes & no service we decided to leave. If it had been extremely busy or the staff had been a little more interactive I would have been more understanding. The fact of the matter is that the waiting staff were more interested in gossiping together & were blatantly ignoring customers. Such poor customer service & should definitely be avoidedMore

Great location, fabulous sea views, good service. BUT..... please change your pizza base to the same quality as before. The pizza base is really not good now and so chewy and tasteless. We always went here for pizza but the current t pizza quality does...not invite me back to spend my money here.More

The worst food we had at Delfinos Seaside Restaurant as regular visitors to this place. I Will definitely not return. I would not suggest this restaurant to any person again. The service was below par as the waiter got orders wrong for majority of the...people at the table. The manager is carless just making excuses for their savourless food. Would not recommend ordering the tasteless and insipid escargot, dry sauceless burgers, seafood curry pasta or the dishwater mussel pasta. What a let down. At the prices Delfinos charge it is inexcusable to serve lacklustre, unappetising and just plain horrible food. Especially when one expects to go out to have a good time with delicious food and it being spoiled by an incompetent restaurant.More
