This elegant Frontiers restaurant in Graaff-Reinet offers scrumptious food and the staff are professional and friendly. The interior is modern with a homelly atmosphere. The owner, manager and waiters treat you like royalty. As a vegan, they do their utmost best to cater for my needs and requirements. Definitely a most pleasant and enjoyable culinary experience, to be recommended.

This chic restaurant offers a fresh take on Karoo cuisine. The staff members are prompt and professional, the decor is sophisticated yet comfortable and the atmosphere was relaxed. We both opted for fried fish & chips. It was a tasty lunch - attractively presented, ample in portion and perfectly executed. The best fish & chips in the Karoo. The prices of both the dishes and the drinks are reasonable. Everything is new and elegant – from the furniture to the beautiful crockery to the staff uniforms. Just the toilets still need a make-over.
Ideal for memorable meals.

Our entire evening was exceptional. The food was excellent (I can highly recommend the lamb shank and my wife’s fillet was soft as butter) and the service was consistently friendly and good. My daughter had the malva pudding which was exactly what a decent malva pudding should be. The highlight for me was the homemade peppermint crisp ice-cream, I wanted to lick my bowl afterwards. Will definitely be back when we’re in the Eastern Cape again.

Welcoming restaurant with creaky Oregon pine floors which added to the character
The food was delicious. The best samp I have ever had , there is a secret there that I wish I knew. Oxtail and lamb chops so delicious 🥰. Amazed at the high level of quality and standard of this restaurant in the small town of Graaf Reniet, Wish I could take them home to Cape Town with me

Fantastic @ Frontiers
This Graaff-Reinet newcomer continues to deliver – tasty dishes, great value, professional service all amidst beautiful decor. I opted for the wagyu burger, although the fish & chips is my firm favourite here. Loved it! original We shared a slice of baked cheesecake – which was perfect! Great coffee too. Ideal for a satisfying dining experience.

The food and service at Frontiers was perfect. The freshest fare, creatively presented, in short made with flare and passion. Our waitress, Ursula, was exceptional, witty, confident and informative. Very tastefully decorated with lovely outdoor area. They had so much on offer for vegetarians and the meat eaters could not stop raving about the food. We loved it so much we tried to return on Monday but it was closed. Will definitely return.

We did not expect much as Frontiers was the only place open on a Sunday night.
What a magical experience awaited us!
A charming place to spend an evening and the staff were beyond wonderful - being friendly and knowledgeable about the food.
The food was excellent and the vegetarians in our group were thoroughly impressed by their fare. The food had been prepared with care and expertise.
A memorable experience - we wanted to go again but they were shut (Mondays?)

My first visit since this restaurant re opened under a new name. Cool and airy interior, very modern. Delightful staff who are friendly and sincere. So impressed to see a host of vegan dishes on the menu. Traditional South African dishes are available but given a plant based option. Highly recommend a visit. Charming manager and lovely dining experience.

Truly a hidden gem in Graaff-Reinet. The place has been beautifully refurbished since we went there the previous time. The service was excellent. We had the tempura prawns and calamari as a starter (it was even more tender than we had the previous week at the coast). Highly recommended.

Beyond delish!!!
Lamb shank falls off the bone and I cannot imagine ever having better!!! Malva pudding and peppermint crisp ice cream was beyond delish!!
Service outstanding and decor fresh, light and bright.
We cannot wait to go back!

Beautiful restaurant. Tasty food. Really enjoyed the Wagyu burger. Chantel the hostess made us feel very welcome. Looking forward to coming back soon. I read the reviews and they are all fantastic except the one star review because of obvious prejudice on the part of the reviewer. Kudos to the owners.

A true gem! The food was amazing. Most delicious Lamb Chops , Lamb Shank (best ever) and Bobotie. Ended off by AMAZING home made ice creams . Do not miss out on this very nice dining experience . Remember to book a table!

I was surprised to find this place in the Karoo. A hidden gem. I ate fish and chips, which one should only eat at the sea. But it was great. Our friends enjoyed their food too. The waitress was serving us with a smile. Give it a go.
