For a place in a far flung town in Africa to be making craft beers and serving good food is a great achievement, the staff were all lovely. The food was a little slow to come out but was all really good, we shared ribs, pizza and a salad and all of it was prepared with care and delicious.
The mokoro of tasting beers was a great way to see what you liked for a larger serve, they also have the Okavango Gin.
A lovely location to while away an evening in Maun.

After a desperate attempt to try Sentinal Gin we found this place and were so pleasantly surprised. I'm not a G&T drinker but this was the most refreshing and delicious drink I've had in a long time. We proceeded to order lunch where they had a 2for1 deal on sandwiches, so we ordered the aubergine, cheese & pesto open sandwich X2 which we delicious! We also ordered the Okavango Mokoro Flight of beers to taste. I'm Irish and their stout was a serious runner against Guinnes - fresh coffee and chocolate tones made it go down a little too easy. I highly recommend a visit here if good food and a selection of good drinks is your thing!

Looking for a good pub or restaurant to have dinner and a drink, we ended up at the Okavango Craft Brewery on the recommendation of our taxi driver. A stroke of luck! The burgers were as you would expect them to be (really good), the staff extremely friendly and very willing to talk (in the end we almost only chatted with the waiters) and the beer a real highlight! Too bad it is not imported to Germany ;) In the pub itself, you can also see the brewery in the background - a terrific ambience. We tried every single beer and there wasn't one that didn't taste really great! 11 out of 10 stars for the beer alone ;)
As we were still unsure that evening how we could make a tour to the Okavango Delta, the really helpful waiter Percy also helped us a lot! Even though we managed to book a tour through our hotel, Percy's helpfulness was really exceptional! Percy, thank you once again for your efforts!
In summary: Good food, great beer, excellent service - a highlight!

My partner and I came through to tick off one of the places we have always wanted to try out and we were greatly disappointed by the poor service we got. We are very much understanding people especially when a place is busy but there was only 1 big family table and the rest were couples and table of 4 people per table occupied. Drink service was slow. Took more than 10mins to get our drinks. We asked the waiter if we could have the tasting tray and he said it was unavailable, then a lady by the name Brandy passed by and we asked her about it and she managed to get it for us. The tasting tray was okay although some of the beers were extremly warm.
Our waiter of which we can't even remember his name was just not as helpful as we expected especially being first timers. No enthusiasm, couldn't even point out where its suitable to sit, couldn't get WiFi because we sat too far and it's range was poor.
The food- 4/10 a simple beef burger has to get extra charged cheese.
Pizza selection lacked a chillie option with meat either beef or chicken
Overpriced okavango gin tots that you could barely taste in tonic water.
Highly spoken about but very poor service. 😕

Myself and the girls were keen to try the Okavango beer and also we had been told that we could try the Sentinal gin here so we had to pay the brewery a visit before we left Maun. It did not disappoint.
The outdoor area was lovely and the music created a lovely ambiance. We ordered a gin and tonic first and it was delicious. After that we ordered a sandwich and a flight of the beers. I personally got the lager, the cider, the session IPA, and of course the Irish stout. It came in a little wooden Mokoro and a little comment card.
It was all delicious and Thandy our server was very helpful and she gave us some much information about the beers.
We played some cornhole which was a lovely touch.
The lager flavour ice cream was delicious and don’t be put off by the idea of lager flavour it’s great.
If you’re in Maun you definitely need to pay a visit to the brewery.

It's a great place...with great craft beer!
It has been a pleasant surprise to taste their production and listen to good rock.
I have been able to taste the IPA, the lager, the stout and its letter of introduction without a doubt is the "Matriarca" beer whose name is in recognition of the mother elephant who, upon giving birth, separates the "Alpha male" from the litter and takes care of it. , protection and food.
The burgers are also recommended.
Enjoy Okavango Craft Brewery because: LIFE...is a JOURNEY!

We were staying @ The Maun Studios and this restaurant was within walking distance and with an interesting menu, so we decided to give it a go….and it didn’t disappoint….steak on the first occasion and on our return visit for takeout we enjoyed a pizza with goat and a delicious beetroot salad. Staff were friendly and helpful….didn’t get to taste the brews! Recommend you give it a go!

Stunningly crafted beer with a socially and environmentally conscious soul. I couldn’t recommend the Okavango Craft Brewery enough. Whether you’re touring the area and in need of visiting a local gem or simply in the mood for a bite of hearty food followed by a good glug of cold beer, the brewpub is sure to tick many boxes. Lush gardens, bustling in-door seating, colourful kids play area and ice cold beer on-tap, you won’t regret stopping by.

We madd two visits to the Okavango Craft Brewery on a recent trip to Maun and absolutely loved it. It has great outside seating with a lovely shady garden and playground for kids to play in. The good was delicious (we can recommend the burgers and fries, millet and sweet potato patties, chicken wings and amazing chocolate mousse). The beee was fantastic - my partner loved his Kingfisher and I (not usually a beer drinker) wanted a second Delta. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere communal and relaxed. My daughter (11) says it is the best restaurant she’d been to and that she wishes it were closer to home. I’ll definitely go back the next time I visit Maun.

We visited recently and had a lovely dinner - steak and chicken burger were both excellent and the chocolate brownie was absolutely delicious. My husband enjoyed the beers and I had a really good g&t. Lovely staff and a nice setting to enjoy dinner

I can't recommend Okavango Craft Brewery highly enough. The craft beer, which is brewed on-site, is incredible, the food is delish and it's in an amazing location. Lots of nice shade trees and a great kids play area. You can also book a brewery tour with the brewer himself. Definitely worth a visit.

I just got out of there, so the heat of the moment may be influencing my comment. Good food, reasonable beer, good service (Pearcy).
I spent a good amount of time there. We suffered an insect invasion (ok, Africa) and at 8:40 at night I order snacks. Around 9:00 the fries are delivered with the warning: you need to leave.
I said: I didn't finish my beer, I didn't eat what I ordered, can you give me 15 minutes?
I can give you 10, is the answer.
Then I realized why they had to close, we were the only customers in the place. Why do we have to stay here because of 2 guys?
Forget it!!!!!!!!.

What a luck to find this brewery ! We loved the beer, especially the Okavango Lager. Food was good, although there was limited choice due to problems with electricity. Didn’t need to reserve a table; plenty of tables outside. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

Came here on a group visit, very cool venue! The brewery tour was interesting & the guide lovely but just too hot in there. Those that ordered beer paddles said they were warm & they were all disappointed there was no one telling them the name of the beers. Food was pretty good and some staff were friendly.
