Choose this based on reviews. Walked in, decor was old and outdated. Sat outside. Ordered chicken enchiladas and wife had the stuffed pepper. My chicken dish was dry, and the tortillas were dry. Wife’s meal was ok. Service was great. Complained to our server and...she said that she would let the cook know about my meal. I asked her to let the owner/manager know as well. Who knows if she did. No one contacted us about the poor quality food. The two dish size portions were very small for the price. Based on our first and last time here, I would suggest you go somewhere else.More

High class Mexican fare. Not Tex-Mex, but comida that reflects the actual cuisine of Mexico. The shrimp ceviche and pozole rojo were excellent. Chips and piquant salsa were delicious. The steak, enchiladas, and Chile verde were given thumbs up by my compadres y mi esposa....You should try it. Also, Lior The Baker is across the parking lot and worth the few steps after your meal. Highly recommended. We will be back.More

I had a great time here. I really enjoyed the perfect warm weather on the large outdoor patio with perfect gentle breeze. Service by Shelby was awesome(coolest name in town). I had the Bistec y Camarones with garlic mashed potatoes, sauteed vegetables and mahi mahi...taco. This was all superb. The tenderloin steak was perfectly cooked medium rare and I loved dipping it in the delicious garlic mashed potatoes. The mahi taco was the best I've had in years. Highly recommended for food, ambience and service. NOTE: THERE ARE NEW OWNERS AND THE NEW NAME WILL BE "DOS FAMILIAS"More

Do not waste your time or money. New owners…18$ for two tiny tacos with a cup of cold beans and a tablespoon of rice. A total disappointment. I predict it will be closed in a year!! The tacos had one thin piece of fish on...each and not much else Our server was nice. Repeat…do t waste your money!!! So many other good choices.More

We go to the Blue Adobe every year during our annual visit to the Scottsdale area and have never been disappointed. However when we arrived for dinner this time we were told the restaurant was under new ownership. The menu was different and smaller. My...wife had the Tinga Enchiladas and I had the Braised Short Rib Enchiladas. We were both dissatisfied. The food was mediocre unfortunately. Just don’t go expecting the same quality level as the old Blue Adobe. It was OK. Just OK. It did not spark joy like previous visits.More

Chips and salsa were great. Margaritas (cucombre and prickly pear) were excellent. Food was 9.5/10 (short rib enchilada and the rojo tend burro). Meal was $72 plus tip. Definitely recommend

The service was excellent. Good food too! Good chips and salsa. Hubby got stacked enchiladas and he said it was very good. I got taquitos which were a little too crispy, but still good.

Blue Adobe….now just Adobe…was one of our favorites because of the uniqueness of the menu. New owners have pared the menu so it is now just another run of the mill Mexican restaurant. Food was ok, but no creativity. Family member has a garlic allergy....previous management would make a fresh order of guacamole for us. Last night we were told that guacamole is made in a big batch each morning….can’t accommodate us. Why buy a successful restaurant and then change it??More

I have to say that this was one of the worst Mexican restaurants we’ve eaten at over the years? All 4 of us thought the food was terrible. The grilled chicken tasted like it was reheated and from a bag in the frozen section of...Walmart. We will not return.More

We've gone to Blue Adobe Grille for quite a number of years, I once lived in Albuquerque and always enjoyed the New Mexican style food. During our visit Tonite, we learned of the change in ownership, and understand better the changes in the menu. My...impression is that it successfully filled a niche for high quality New Mexican food and that is why it was popular. Tonite we first noticed that the tortilla chips were either greasy and chewy, or crisp. They must be lower quality and not cooking evenly. Our unsweetened iced teas tasted very bland. My braised short rib enchiladas entree only had two enchiladas, the taste was okay, but it seemed that the ingredients were lower quality. My wife's seafood enchiladas were average, usually she would only be able to eat half of her entree, and would take home the uneaten half. Tonite she ate her entire entree. We had the chocolate chip cookie pie for dessert, unfortunately the undercooked cookie dough taste was very evident, and we concluded we wouldn't order that again. We understand from staff that the menu is in transition, I hope management is able to make meaningful improvements before they lose significant numbers of customers. We'll probably return again in a few months to see if it has improved. That would be preferable to choosing another New Mexican style restaurant standby.More
