Pretty small place but very cozy and nice inside. It was raining hard and there were not many guests, but the owner was there, talking to few regulars. They offer every day’s specials. We took of that suggestions “Bonito Oceanside” which was a “tunido fresco”...to make it simpler - it was a mackerel. I thought that it was some kind of Tuna, but not. I expected more from that dish personally, because I like mackerel fish if it’s smoked and salty and not just simply broiled with vegetables. Kind of tasteless and too fishy. The”Coquelle de Langostinos” was very rich, like a julienne style, creamy and decorated with a beautiful flowers of mashed potatoes. Risotto with seafood was distinguished too, very gentle and delicate. I’m sure there are a lot of other yummy dishes to try, but we had only one evening and were mostly satisfied with our choice. I would have tried the conejo (rabbit), cordero (lamb), seafood raviolis and paella valenciana. The wine list is not that large, occupies just two pages, but it quite allows you to choose a wine to your taste and wallet. All wine is from Argentina, even Chablis, this we haven’t met before :) Prices are higher than average. Apple pie with vanilla ice cream for two was not that big, but tasty of course. The owner offered us a glass of local Late Harvest to share with our dessert. They sell it by a bottle, but he poured us a glass nonetheless. Great, kind and attentive service. Can park the car next to the restaurant.More

The Oceanside was beautiful. An added bonus was the shopping along the shore. There was great items to choose but it was a bit pricey. I did walk away with a couple great items.

I have been here twice now and both times have been wonderful food with great service. The meals are reasonably priced. The seafood is fresh and prepared with beautiful sauces! Try this place out when you are in Mar Del Plata!

Mar del Plata is a seaside resort in Argentina. As with most seaside resorts there are hundreds, if not thousands of eateries to choose from. Most of them fair to average at best. Oceanside is an elegant seafood restaurant perched above the water. It is...a smaller intimate restaurant with a great menu of fresh fish, pasta and of course some meats for those that can't get away from the wonderful steaks in Argentina. You get the feeling this is a family run restaurant yet very professional but not at all stiff. It is quiet and pretty inside and a place that will soothe you while having a great meal.More

So far food in Mar Del Plata had been a bit blah, then a friend and I went for a stroll and ended up here. They didn't speak a word of english, between them, us and a little translation book we managed, particularly interesting as...I don't eat meat! The food was fantastic we both had a seafood dish, risotto and salmon, perfect flavour, perfect amount! They chose the wine, a local red, perfect.More

We were staying at the Costa Galana hotel and chose to eat at Oceanside, we found it by coincidence on my Garmin hotspots. We were happily rewarded. The atmosphere is cosy and classy, the menu offers international cuisine, the price is reasonable, the wine menu...is great. The food came with some delay, but we want to believe this is due to the fact that it was not "pre-cooked". Anyhow, what matters most is that the quality was excellent. We wanted to return on the next day, but it was closed being low-season.More
