View, hospitality, menu, food quality, drinks: everything fantastic. Enjoyed our dinner and we recommand it! Lovely night out!
The wine tasting was absolutely superb. Jack the host was one of the best we have ever had and the wine selection is out of this world. Enjoyed every second if it.
Sunday lunch, celebrating a birthday with friends. Beautiful setting though really awful food. Fish and chips, bland and tasted like a reheated piece of fish. Fish of the day, overcooked and leathery. Tried to explain to management but clearly not interested.
Came for a birthday dinner with the family. Sat outside overlooking the dam and onto the mountains. Beautiful, serene setting with fantastic food and service to match. Our waitress Nicky was fantastic. Will definitely return.
We were underwhelmed by our lunch at Mont Marie. Granted, it was a busy day with a few celebration lunches, but we left disappointed, with no inclination to revisit in the near future. My Caesar salad was possibly the worst I've ever had. The egg...was rock hard and the chicken was heading in the same direction. The croutons were too big and made no sense. No parmesan, old lettuce and the dressing was mayonnaise instead of a strong, Caesar dressing as one would expect. The friendly waiter assured us of generous portions. In hindsight, I'm glad it wasn't. Sad to say, it's a NO.More
Amazing ambiance and delicious food. We so enjoyed the gorgeous view of the mountains by the lake. The puppies and the ducks and the puppies made it super special. Staff were super friendly. And thanks to Dawid the manager for his lovely hospitality.
Amazing! You must go! Best fish we have had in South Africa, lovely service, tasty wines. The views are breathtaking!!!
From the very first moment I entered the restaurant with my friends, we were greeted with big warm smiles at the entrance feeling instantly welcome and relaxed that made a great first impression Between our friends we polished quite a few bottles of red wine...on the menu. All the wine were very good with my personal favourite being the Manna. I ordered a steak that was absolutely 5 star and tasted like I want more and more and more! All the other people around the table were also very happy with their food. Combine this with spectacular mountain views and excellent service levels. I'll be back for sure, not only once, a few times.More
One of the best gems 💎 in Stellenbosch, classy venue and good management and the food was lovely I had their special of the day which was dry-aged steak, the portions were great and the meat was exceptional. Their Mana wine is now one of...my favourite wines in Stellenbosch. We had a very pleasant and relaxing evening. Will most definitely be going back.More
Absolutely beautiful restaurant! The food was top notch & very reasonably priced. Complements to the friendly staff & management as well!
Worst experience ever! Overprized food of the worst quality. You should close your doors or get new management. Unhelpful waiter.More

We went for a Birthday brunch to Mont Marie. The view was incredible, but service not so great. The waiter came back multiple times to double check our order, and yet still got it wrong. The food was mediocre for the price. The waiter also...kept saying that they don't have enough bartenders to make all our cocktails. So we had to wait a very long time. Maybe it was just a bad day.More
Excellent view and food. The selection is good. We both had salads, and enjoyed our food thoroughly. The wine was very good as well.
I always enjoy Mont Marie for its good food, atmosphere and service. A few years ago I hosted a dinner with several courses at Mont Marie for 60 people and it was an outstanding event with wonderful cuisine. This week I was back in a...smaller group of four for dinner. As always, our dinner was special. However, we decided not to go over the top with several courses courses and just to have four mains only. Well, we had some whiskey to open our evening with a smile. We were there for a quiet but stylish dinner for four. Three of us opted for the lamb shank which was on special. That was a great choice. This was beautifully done to perfection. One of us had an outstanding, crispy gnocchi. (The next time I want to try chef Pieter Vlok’s warthog bangers. Sounds like a wonderful treat!) Our four dishes were complemented by a bottle of Whitey Basson’s Klein Dasbosch Cabernet Sauvignon. I can recommend that as well. Service was, as always, friendly and prompt with attention to detail. Thank you. Mont Marie for me remains special. Go there, experience the delightMore
