We arrived for lunch, and our reservation was confirmed. There is sufficient parking. Our table was on the terrace as requested. On arrival Sanitation was observed, but guests were seated right next to us when more adequately spaced tables were available, which was disappointing. The...menu is comprehensive and pricing reasonable. The food was well presented and tasty There is a lovely view over the vineyards.More

Just came for a dessert to have a quick catch up with Friends. Loved the atmosphere and the welcome. This is a perfect spot for family gatherings and get togethers. Will definitely recommend.

Nice, family friendly wine estate. Love that the kiddies have a indoor+ outdoor play area. Food was delicious especially the rump& chips and the lamb curry. Special mention to Mel from the wine tasting side-so friendly made us feel really welcomed. Gets very busy, lots...of small parties (birthdays/engagement) , so definitely make a booking to not be disappointed. Yes the food took a little long but was worth the wait. We can't wait to go back.More

On Saturday 28 Nov 2020 we were cycling and checked in at Skilpadvlei restaurant. We ordered coffee and a scon. The chef approached us and said the scones were not fresh and he does not want to serve it to clients. He offered us a...toasted ham and cheese sandwich instead. Our order arrived and the one cup was very dirty. The previous customer's lipstick was still on the brim of the cup. When I stirred my coffee I found a huge fly or grouser in the coffee. I asked for the manager and voiced my dissatisfaction. She simply took the food and walked away without any apology. This is not the place where you want to be!More

The manageress unfriendly and abrupt. Confused our booking with someone else. Seated us inside when we requested outside. Didnt take our temperatures, food took an hour and one of the burgers was burned and too much wine in the mussel dish. The only highlight was...our friendly waiter Ferrari, he made it a little more bearable.More

What an interesting lunch, definitely a place the locals enjoy, such friendly staff and the other guests, it's like one big family, loved the pizza and my husband went for "afval", he finished his plate to last little bit of sauce, very generous portions and...the Jacobsdal Pinotage was beautiful suggestion. See you again in March!More

We often come here when we want good food and a good view. Just make sure to sit outside for an unparalleled view of the mountains and vineyards.

The manageress was so unfriendly and frustrated she never bothered to make us feel welcome. I'll just say a huge dissapointment. Our evening was ruined by her bad treatment and dramatic scene she came and made at our table when we asked out the menu...which we were told is the only menu for the evening, which was R350pp, but people around us ordered from the normal menu... such a awful experience on our Valentine evening. Shame on her...More
