Service, shocking , waited forever for the lunch, no follow up , no service for any additional order or wine, had to take burger to the kitchen to re grill. Had to call for the bill, and yet again had to pay on exit as...nobody followed up!!! Really!!!More

Had a lovely lunch at Tokara deli. The food was delicious and service was friendly and quick. Kids loved the play area and the giant birds nest.

We had booked in the main Tokara Restaurant and drove 100km to get to it but, although they had taken our booking for there, it was closed and we were sent to the Delicatessen. It is pleasant enough but the menu contained little that appealed...to either of us. At 80 missing meals is unwise so we ate what we could, did not enjoy it much, and consider it a little over-priced. However the staff were charming and helpful and made the occasion less disappointing that it would otherwise have been.More

I wanted to take a foreign friend and his family (in total, we were 4 adults, 5 kids (2, 6, 8, 9, 10)) somewhere with good wine, food and winery after a few days of wine tasting in Franshoek and I couldn't have chosen a...better winery to impress. Our sommelier at the tasting was very knowledgable and helpful and the tasting on the terrace was a teriffic experience all round. to follow the Tokara wine tasting we wandered up to the deli following a winding path in the vineyard. The deli itself is beautiful, with a courtyard surrounded by (as we counted) about 20 very interesting sculptures, shade trees and a wonderful playground for the kids. The food was excellent, from pizza, to hamburgers, prawns to the highlight for me, the cauliflower salad with kale and roasted chickpeas. The deli is more expensive than other cafes we had eaten at, but its really worth every cent. go there, you won't regret it!More

We have been at Tokara top restaurant, and that was great experience. Now, on weekday lunch, it was not open. No worries, this is almost as good place with lower price tag. Really friendly service, tasty pizza and burger (fries were not masterpiece). Nice drinks....Nice environment.More

Our family of 3 arrived at the deli without a booking today. Everything was fully booked, but the host graciously offered the deli menu and when a table became free, it was immediately prepared for us. The food was excellent and came quickly, despite the...busy restaurant. We were so grateful for the service and wished we could have stayed longer!More

Food was ok, nothing spectacular… Only one beer to choose from… Great kids area and lovely view. Service was good, waiter was attentive. Pricing was a little high for what it was. Wouldn’t rush back

We met up here with friends from overseas whom we haven’t seen for two years so it was quite a special occasion .We wanted to get together over a brunch and this was one of the few places that offered that ,added to which our...friends had eaten here often . The entrance to the delicatessen is decorated with many sculptures starting with a long line of diminishing white cows on the roadside ! The meal was a thing of two halves as my husband and my dishes(the bankers breakfast and croc Madame) were a little uninspiring but our friends meals looked lovely ( the granola bowl and a dish where they replace the unwanted bacon with a generous helping of avocado! ) The red cappuccino was also delicious and nicely presented with a small jug of honey . When we outstayed our welcome at our table they very politely asked us to move to the beautiful couches by the fireplace . The staff were very friendly and welcoming and there is a lovely light atmosphere with a great view over the vineyards and the olive trees as well as a lovely adventure area for children .More

We had a nice lunch of lamb shoulder with a lovely bottle of Shiraz! Deli has lovely views and a roaring fire as yesterday was an unusually cool day for the time of year!

Hi Monica! Unfortunately because of the big family of peacocks that live in Tokara Deli surroundings we don’t allow pets. Thank you in advance for your understanding and we really hope you can still visit us ;)
