The 4 of us were not in for a big dinner as it was Saturday night and we had been out all day what a pleasant surprise, staying at the Protea Hotel Stellenbosch, this restaurant is well placed and provides varied choices on the menu and well prepared, good portions of tasty fare. From fish to chicken everything was prepared... More

Been threatening to go there for some time. What a treat. I took 2 staff members for lunch. We had salads and fish. Prices and quality was awesome. Definitely taking the family next time.

Whenever we do not want go out for fancy dinner or have a craving for sushi we go to Jimmy the Fish. The food is good, as is the wine and the ambience is pleasantly casual. Always a good choice

Hubby and I visited Jimmy the Fish for what we hoped would be a quick lunch. We ended up waiting over an hour for our food which was really disappointing. The food was good when it came - one steak was a little overcooked but was tender nonetheless. The manager did come and offer us a complimentary drink to apologise... More

I haven't been to Jimmy the Fish in years. Last night I thought we should go again as we always enjoyed our meals there. Unfortunately that was not the case. The standard and quality of the food was terrible. The calamari rings I had was so thin and rubbery. They must have changed suppliers of their produce. The sushi was... More

Was my first time here. We popped in and took advantage of their Sunday evening half price sushi. It is quite a large restaurant with outside and inside tables as well as a room for the kids to play in. Our waitress was a young black girl who did an awesome job. She was friendly and kept the ice for... More

You are really spoilt for choices on this menu with prices that are really reasonable. The staff is friendly and there is a great indoor play area for the kids.

This is large family restaurant just outside of Stellenbosch on the way to Strand. If you take one of the specials (lunch etc) you can get mountains of food for a reasonable price. The food is typical fried fare. The ambiance is better than I expected. The food offerings a bit fast food'ish which wan't what I expected from what... More
