We have visited this establishment twice, once for pizza on a public holiday and then for fillet steak and fish, calamari and prawns on Mother's Day this year. Both occasions were met with great food, service and atmosphere. The waiters were friendly and the food is not over-priced. My fillet steak was perfect with a creamy blue cheese sauce and... More

Not upmarket, not meant to be, what you see is what you get - Good food and excellent value. My Paella in the pan was very good. Tasty and the other Spanish dish was also enjoyable. Service a little bit on the slow side, but the waiter remained friendly and was quite informed. Sushi starter was good. Noticed a few... More

The local family restaurant. Friends and family can get together, leave the kids to play in the play area. Enjoy good conversation with a cosy fire in the background. Food is tasty, but, not always consistent. Service can be improved but a nice place where people can gather over a meal.

Pretty it's not. Definitely basic in terms of ambiance but the food I had, in the context of what this place is, was superb. Started with the seafood chowder which quite frankly was a meal in itself. Followed that with the Manly Mustard burger. It takes a lot to make a burger stand out from the rest but, believe me,... More

We have been going to Jimmy the Fish for more than 10 years and went there for dinner last night after an absence of about 3 months . I have very seldom in my life been more disappointed at almost any restaurant . Prices went up , the food was terribly greasy , portions were hard to find on our... More

I've over time lost my respect for Jimmy the Fish! Today we were here, the kids had chicken schnitzel and chips, while the chicken was tender the chips were under cooked. I wanted to lasagne but was told that they didn't have any and that they didn't have any yesterday either, i was always under the impression that they made... More

Had a lovely dinner by ordering 4 starters and shared because we couldn't decide. The baked prawn tails, seafood soup, chicken and avo stack, and pork belly. All of them were very tasty and all came together. Service was very good and attentive. We even had a fire place lit because it was chilly.

Was there with my wife the otherday for a quick bite, All I can say was that the meal was very forgettable with what I would call below average service. My wifes calamari was OK, a bit tough. My fish as for certain not the best I have had. Only upside is the convenience to Paradyskloof for a easy meal.... More

This restaurant has a menu that encompasses fish, pizza and other dishes. We ordered prawns, Calamari, Hake and pizza. They were ok, but the recipes still needs to be more refined. The service is good and the food presented is fresh. I rated 3.5/5

The 4 of us were not in for a big dinner as it was Saturday night and we had been out all day what a pleasant surprise, staying at the Protea Hotel Stellenbosch, this restaurant is well placed and provides varied choices on the menu and well prepared, good portions of tasty fare. From fish to chicken everything was prepared... More
