Lovely fish-shop with a place to get grilled foods next door. Service is fast, food is fresh (although the samoosa's and spring rolls are pre-cooked).
The food was pretty cheap and service was quick. The ladies working the counters were full of giggles.

This little gem is a bit of a locals' secret. They stock a wide selection of frozen sea foods, but the also have an informal restaurant right next door. I had the snoek, my husband had the hake. It was fresh, tender and had a nice crispy battered outside. The portions were huge, but inexpensive. Very informal (plastic cutlery), but definitely worth a visit

Use to make really good fish and chips now it's become less than average. The chips are often bitter tasting because of the oil either being burnt or old.batter has become a loaf of bread on the fish. Come on Charlie what happened to that home styled cooking

Shocking, waited 35min for 1 hake and chip parcel. No urgency from staff, slow service. Ended up asking for refund and left with no food. Won’t go back.

Hubby and I did a small road trip from Cape town and stopped off at Charlie's..both our experience from last time to this time was sad.
The calamari was super oily and we are convinced it was old oil from the weekend..the calamari was chewy..and both of us had an upset tummy in the evening 😢

Our ship IVS Gleneagles loading in your port. Our agent recommended you guys. Now I recommend any one that likes fish and chips we had Snoek this is value for money
