We went on a Sunday evening and it was full! Tons of specials on different nights of the week. Burgers are superb and well-priced (and on their Specials night R39 + R8 for a sauce!) and accompanied by your choice of starch as well as hot veg of the day. Wide variety, large portions and excellent service.

Fabulous evening, company, staff and food..... highly recommend the chateaubriand for the 'wow' factor and for the fillet steak that melted in the mouth....

One of the few restaurants open on a Sunday evening. We requested a starter of Avocado & smoked salmon ( this was not on the menu , however they did have both items ,albeit in other combinations. Superb . The fillet was 300 grams , so we shared , also not a problem . Brought our own wine and there... More

Four of us went to celebrate Friday at the Cattle baron and had a very enjoyable evening. The service was very excellent and the waiter had a good sense of humour and showed the cuts of beef available on the menu. We place our orders and my T-bone steak was cooked to perfection and the others at the table were... More

A very pleasant experience, not at all what I expected, it being a franchise establishment! Well informed and trained staff, excellent ambience and the food, well for someone who loves meat, a feast! Highly recommend!

A good mid-range restaurant with great improvements over the years. Cattle Barron famously serves the well known "Carpetbagger" steaks, grilled to perfection. Nice restaurant for Dinner.

Popped in after my long flight out to SA, very busy restaurant for a Monday night but managed to get a table, skipped a starter and went for a Fillet Steak, with side order of mushrooms. Both were delicious, not sure what the chef uses to baste the steak, but the flavour is fantastic, looking forward already to my next... More

Accept I have a big appetite but just too much meat. My own fault for having the mussels to start followed by the meat platter to share. It was all beautifully presented with side dishes, choice of sauces, etc. The American waitress was efficient, pleasant and helpful. Warning, you do need to be hungry!
