We had a wonderful evening meal here. The hubby had the schnitzel stack and it was amazing! I had the topped baked sweet potato. It was absolutely the best thing I have ever had. Sweet, lightly spices, veggie terrific. Prices are very reasonable.

Cute restaurant, lots of interesting decor and a nice setting. It’s very popular so very busy, this meant service was a bit hectic, long waits for drinks and to order dessert, so not one for a quick dinner. Service was very friendly though, lots of...apologies so maybe just need a few more hands, and they called our taxi driver when we were finished which was really nice. The food here is incredible and definitely makes the slow service forgivable, it’s a very big menu, we got the ostrich steak burger and the ostrich shank. Both were really tasty and would recommend, especially the shank with the most delicious buttery mash, even on a 30 degree evening it was delicious.More

Pleasant garden setting. Reasonably priced good wholesome food and very pleasant and efficient staff. Always my goto place in Oudtshoorn for a quick stopover bite to eat.

A most delightful dinner was had by all four of us. As a tour guide I asked if they could serve a starter of roosterkoek with olive oil and a little chopped garlic - no problem at all, and was enjoyed immensely by my guests...from USA. We then had the most delicious lamb chops with proper boere style veggies. So so yummy!! I will definitely be taking guests there again. Thanks Nostalgie for a wonderful dinner.More

What a wonderful experience and so unexpected. Awesome ambience, superb food beyond expectations and great service. Apart from all that, the baked goods for the sweet tooth are phenomenal. Highly, highly recommended!

We had booked this restaurant in advance as it was near to our hotel. The food was excellent. The first night that we visited the service was a little slow and the waiter was not very animated. The food however was excellent. The melk tart...was the best I tasted during my stay in South Africa. We decided to go back the second night and sat outside. The service was better. Would definitely recommend and would also recommend booking so as not to be disappointed as it is a very popular restaurant.More

Wow, possibly the best meal of a 3 week trip to Namibia and South Africa and at a very reasonable price. We had the Ostrich Steak and Ostrich Shank and they were both delicious. Highly recommended

An oasis in Oudtshoorn What a gem of a place! The generous portions, interesting menu and amazing service from Rachelle! This is the top rated restaurant in Oudtshoorn for a reason. Fabulous! Looking forward to returning!

Great food all around! We had an Ostrich fillet, which is their speciality - a great stake, tastes similar to beef, prepared amazingly good We had chicken on slow cooked sweet potato - sounds weird but it was good as hell And the greek salad...tasted similar to the salad in greece for real So, if you're even remotly in the area - you really have to visit!More

Recommended this by our guest lodge host and it wasn’t a disappointment. Waiter was attentive and helpful. The food was amazing. After eating in restaurants for over a week, we loved the “home cooked” meal and veges. The ostrich was yummy, chicken tower and lamb...chops were all scrumptious. Extensive menu and very reasonably priced. Big portions. Wasn’t that keen on the ostrich but glad I tried it. Desserts were delicious.

Stopped here while travelling through Oudtshoorn. We got seated at a very pleasant garden table. I had the ostrich stroganoff (delicious) and my partner had an ostrich burger (huge patty!)
