Arriving in the middle of a thunderstorm 15 minutes before the scheduled opening time one would be forgiving of a less than welcoming atmosphere. This was the exception. Smiles and great service were the order of the day. The food was superb, my wifes pasta was voted as the best ever whilst the grandkids pitza were demolished with gusto. My prawn peri peri could be hard to beat in a coastal town let alone in the Karoo.
All in all a great evening, and at a very realistic price.

Excellent pastas, especially chicken and mushroom. My family also enjoyed their steak and pizzas, which was made well after their specifications (medium-rare steak and pizza without olives). An excellent option for good food.

Whenever we go to this restaurant with some trepidation - you never know how it will go. With a large group of our friends from Norway, we ordered a variety of dishes - from ostrich Caprese to pasta with pesto. The salads and starters were good, pizzas very good, but the pasta was cold, dry and sticky. I think only Italians can make pasta.
I would like to add my own parmesan on the pasta. I ordered some extra sauce to combat the dryness, but the stodgy sauce was inedible. The deserts are nothing special - the location and layout are very nice.

They were supposed to prepare a platter of starters and a platter of mains for a special birthday treat. It was special indeed. Started with 2 lukewarm glasses of champagne (even to warm for a red wine). Could not drink it. A bottle of white wine was just as warm (the waitress just said: "it will cool down in the ice bucket"!). Starter platter was almost inedible. Food just thrown on a plate of withered lettuce. In a bowl of sticky creamy mush there were peaces of what might have been mussels, snoek most likely out of a can prepared as a awfully tasting salad, slices of burnt bread hard as rocks looked like charcoal were considered to be Bruschettas. Simply disgusting. Main courses were on a similiar dreadful level just thrown on platters with no feel for presentation. E.g. hard sole of a shoe like piece which might have been considered a ostrich steak overgrilled to imperfection next to oily chips, completely overcooked prawns with pieces of the shells detached while thrown over dried up rice, evenly overcooked ostrich and chicken strips. We could not eat it and ask to box it for us. Now the final masterpiece: ALL the DIFFERENT mains were thrown together in one large pizza box making the food finally look like it had been scratched out of bins. We just left it on the table. I have never ever experienced anthing even similiar unprofessional and distasteful. It was truly a birthday dinner I will never forget

The tables are under cover in separate enclosures seating up to six persons. The four sides are open, yet can be closed if wet or windy. Service is prompt, good coupled with excellent choice of food.
The owner deserves a badge of honour to make this restaurant an eating out experience.

Our family ate at Bella Cibo on our first night in Oudshoorn. The layout is very different, and we were seated in our own completely separate tented structure which is great for physical distancing! Was disappointed that my glass of chardonnay was warm, and when I told the waitress she just shrugged it off and said it came out the fridge - which could not have been the case unless their fridge was turned to room temperature. However the lack of service was compensated for by the excellent food. 3 of us had pizzas which were big and excellent, and 1 had a vegetarian meal which was probably the tastiest meal I have had in years.

I love the small tents where you can dine privately with your friends and family, or have a romantic meal with your better half.
The restaurant was very quiet, and we had good service, and our food orders arrived quite quickly. I had the pasta with salmon and red peppers, very nice
All in all, a great experience.

Enjoyed every minute of our summer evening at this restaurant - it was the best food we had in a long while! Everything we had is recommendable, but we loved especially the pancake tarte, the ostrich streak with the pepper sauce and the pizzas . The venue itself is very beautiful - our waitress was just a sunshine and very friendly and helpful. Definetly coming back when in Oudtshoorn next time. We recommend this restaurant highly.

We arrived early - no problem
A couple drinks then we shared a deep fried camembert starter. Delicious.
Then the mains. One was a simple but super tasty spaghetti with green pesto.
The other was their venison special, 100 gms each of springbok, kudu and ostrich. All exceptional. Combine with the veg, this was a contender for best meal out I've ever had. Add in an exquisite pinotage and this was a real winner. Real value for money too.

What a hidden gem this is! You have to go a couple blocks off the main street to get there but it is worth it. We know there was due to be loadshedding starting at eight the night we went so we reserved a table for seven and they assured us they had gas stoves and would be fine with no power.
We were ushered to a private tent like room of which there were several. There was also an open garden area. Our room had outside lights and twinkle lights and a candle on the table.
We shared two appetizers including the excellent snails. We both had ostrich steaks for our main course. They were tender and perfectly cooked to medium rare. We enjoyed a bottle of wine.
We were served well before eight and hardly noticed when the power went off as the lanterns must have been battery powered. When it came time to pay they were able to use their credit card machine which had battery power and was connected via their cell phone. The owners insisted on driving us back to our inn as the power outage meant there were no street lights. That was very kind of them and shows a well run establishment.

We went here because they served kudu, springbok and ostrich meat. The owner / chef was knowledgeable about the meats I wanted to try.
If you don’t like cats then this may not be your type of restaurant, but we love cats so it was perfect for us.

Rather simple and unassuming from the outside, the restaurant offers a fun atmosphere. Locals in particular are regulars and that's what makes it special. Perfect ostrich, great beef fillet and great thin-crust pizza tasted excellent. The service and the chef, who is personally interested in his guests, round off the positive impression. Eating in the cozy courtyard without WiFi is simply great.

This is the only place you need to consider if you are looking for ostrich Steak! They do pizza, pasta and steaks. The food is absolutely delicious and amazing value for money. The 300g steaks go for R160 and come with 2 sides! Amazing food and great service!

Our landlord recommended this restaurant to us, probably not entirely selflessly, because they serve ostrich here. First of all, we liked it so much that we made a reservation for the following evening. We definitely recommend the "grill plate" with 100g each of kudo, springbok and ostrich, it's not on the menu, just ask. Incredibly delicious 😋 and all for less than 11 euros. The other dishes, the wines and the service were also great.

We were pleased to find a table on Valentine’s Day evening, however we were underwhelmed by our ‘Bella Cibo’ experience.
The tablecloth was stained then our waitress dumped the dirty plates from a neighbouring table onto our table whilst taking our order (not a good start). The tagliatelle was ok as was my rump steak although more medium than medium rare, as ordered. Fortunately, we spotted there was an overcharge before paying the bill!
