Looking for good quality food and service in Canal Walk then I would highly recommend Tashas.It's a little more pricey then your average restaurant but the food and service is also better.

After going to Tashas at the V & A many times and never been disappointed we decided to try the one in Canal Walk whilst doing some shopping. My Citrus Sunrise was delicious but the toasted cheese sandwich my wife ordered had little or no...cheese at all in the filling. We sent it back and asked for a few extra onions. The replacement arrived, not much better, and some onion. After paying the bill I noticed that they had charged me R8.00 for XT Onion - how pathetic was that after complaining. It’s not the 8 rand but they principle - very disappointing.More

We called for coffee and a toastie. We were made most welcome, the snack was produced fairly promptly and was nice, as were the coffees. A nice break in the shopping routine!

The mall wifi is slow and capped. This expensive, mediocre quality outley has no wifi either. Driest burger ever. Run!

The lemon soda before the meal was a little disappointing as it came from a bottle rather than being home made with fresh lemon juice. However it was beautifully presented, with ice and lemon in a wine glass, the staff are so friendly and attentive...and the food so outstanding that I am not going to let a commercially produced drink affect an otherwise 5 star rating. The middle eastern salad was delightful - spiced halloumi with heirloom tomatoes, shaved cucumber, pomegranates, onion and a delicious delicate salad dressing. I also added rocket and olives as an extra option which worked well with the salad. Before the dish arrived the waiter wasn't sure if there was a salad dressing but just incase, he brought me a delicious array of dressings before the salad arrived. Not only did he bring oil and bslsamic vinegar but he also brought a ready made Italian dressing and green chili in oil dressing. Tasha's definitely does things on a lavish scale. I could honestly have gone back for that salad time and time again but as I'm only here for a week, I decided to try as many different restaurants as possible. But definitely a restaurant to come back to on my next visit.More
