We made a quick pit stop here during our busy day in Knysna, enjoying a lovely cup of tea and a cookie (and ice cream too)

After a walk around the island we had a good coffee and a milkshake there. Perfect for a break before you drive back to Knysna

Wow did we have to wait, painfully slow service. There were enough waiters and the resturant was not that busy. 1.5 hours to get coffee and scones and the bill. Average food. Pretty setting could be so much better.

I enjoyed a very tasty coffee and quiche breakfast between meetings, both of which were delicious! The coffee shop had a very friendly atmosphere and I had a great chat with the owner James. Will definitely be going back!

Leisure Island is always best visited without the crowds as it is so popular. Going to Knysna in the off season, provided an opportunity to head to all the popular spots without the heavy flow of car/foot traffic. We had a lovely lunch at the Leisure Island Coffee Shop, the staff are friendly, the food was delicious. It is a pleasant spot with a descent selection of indoor and outdoor eating options. There is a wonderful antique store that can be accessed from the coffee shop so we chose to sit indoors and also visit the antique store. It is a cosy place and has a wide variety of options on the menu.

We were staying on Leisure Isle for the weekend and our Guesthouse Host suggested that we try Nadine’s as they only occasionally open of an evening and it was within walking distance of our Guesthouse.
The menu is limited but that is understandable given that Nadine lovingly cooks everything herself. The wine choice is also very limited, a White and a red, but you are welcome to take your own.
I chose the hake and chips and my wife chose the Lamb chops, everything was perfect and as we had sat outside on a perfect evening the ambience was great.
If you are in a rush then do not eat here but if not sit back enjoy your surrounds and have a great evening

Had a nice snack lunch here in a beautiful little area, shady and fascinating with the shop to see, bits and bobs and garden areas all around. Service very pleasant we bought two slices of carrot cake to go and have back at our apartment. There were only a few pieces left of the original cake and unfortunately when we ate them later they were stale- rather dry and needing cream to make them more palatable. Otherwise a very nice place to have a relaxed lunch.

A quaint antiques and coffee shop backing onto the Nature Reserve makes a lovely spot to lay back and take in the relaxed vibe. Good café food with great service at very sensible prices

Leisure Isle, in the midst of a sea of commercialism, has not lost its charm. This coffee shop represents the simplicity of the island.

We arrived with large appetites & eager to try the local spot. We waited & waited & waited & finally fetched the menus ourselves. Our coffee arrived about 5 minutes after our breakfast was finished, while all around us, patrons were getting coffee before us.
When we decided to have our coffee take away, the waiter insisted that it was done & we cant change. I insisted & then the manageress appeared with our coffees & 3 take away cups & told us to pour it in ourselves, then sat down with some of the locals to chat. If there had been a piano player at this place, they would have stopped playing when we walked in!
