Visitors to Knysna would never find this gem without local knowledge or Trip Advisor as it looks nothing from the road....but don't be deceived. The freshest seafood cooked to perfection and very nice staff await. Unlicensed so take your own bottle with you. This is an experience not to be missed when you are visiting Knysna.

After reading all the hype we went for lunch. I had an avo ritz for a starter which was really good! Then I ordered a baby kingklip and 6 Mozambique prawns because everybody raved about the prawns. Sad to say, I have had better kingklip and prawns at franchise restaurants. Kingklip was dry and prawns undercooked. Service was good and... More

This was our second visit in eight months. We were not disappointed. The experience was once again lovely. Seafood bisque = excellent. Prawn poppers with aioli = yummy. Shared seared tuna sashimi with black and white sesame seeds = awesome. This establishment is not to be bypassed. A bonus - not licensed, so patrons can bring own wine.

The restaurant came highly recommended by friends and the lodge staff where we were staying. And rightly so. If we had known their Mocambique Prawns were so huge and delicious, we would have skipped the (equally amazing) starters... wow! Best. Prawns. Ever. We ended up ordering another full portion of 12. We are definitely returning to Knysna to enjoy this... More

This is a fishmarket, restaurant serving fish that was caught the same day. You sit at picnic tables on sand in a tented area. The fish was the best and the chips to die from!!! Hard to find but exceptional!!!

I love going to Freshline Fisheries. My only complaint is it used to be dog friendly as it is an open air venue on beach sand, however I believe they do not allow dogs anymore. Unfortunately this means I won't be going as often as I used to go because my furbaby is not allowed even though he is better... More

Fresh fish dinner! In a hidden location, behind the boat storages. BYOB and you will get a cooler on your table and no corkage fee, it's great! We had the mixed fish trio platter with fries, spicy rice and a little side salad. Absolutely delicious! Cob, Dorade and yellow fin. Perfectly grilled. Very affordable, including the tip we paid 265... More
