What a wonderful restaurant with very nice and dedicated personnel. The quality of the food is great and the atmosphere is very cozy. Especially when you can sit outside in the garden where it feels if you’re on an Italian terrace such a great place....I can really recommend this placeMore

I am 61 years old. I have had a lot of french toast in my life. Today the Cuckoo Tree served the best french toast I have ever eaten in my life. Lovely atmosphere too.

Lockdown in Hermanus for visitors from the UK has had some pleasures, but one of the most enjoyable was to discover The Cuckoo Tree, from where we have been able to buy wonderful home-cooked meals to be eaten in our rented accommodation. Lynne and Michelle...prepare and sell the most delicious food, home-cooked and as good as you get in a 5-star restaurant. Their beef stroganoff is out of this world, as is their vegetable soup. So glad we chanced on them when South Africa moved to Level 4. I cannot recommend the food highly enough.More

This homely restaurant serves exceptionally tasty real home-cooked food. Nothing cheffy, nothing foodie but honest substantial cooking in a simple friendly environment. The vegetable soup was better than my mother’s (don’t tell her) and the oxtail stew filling and delicious. No frills, fully licensed, and...somewhere you could eat regularly.More

The ratings for this restaurant is really high, and doesn't justify the average but for a plain coffee shop alright type experience. Staff are friendly and food is ok. Seating outside is nice.

i suggest you contact the restaurant directly, which I did enjoy but I am not associated with the restaurant just one of many happy diners there. You would have to contact them on Tel. +27-28312 3430. Kind regards, Lew Rood
