Stopped here for a drink and ended up having something to eat. We loved the chilled, relax vibe and watched the world go by. We also got to see a whale so that was bonus! Take a jumper it does get a little chilly. Picture...of the flatbread os half eaten hahaMore
We discovered Ficks during our last visit to Hermanus and immediately fell in love w the stunning ambiance and fantastic food. We couldnt wait to go back and though it was an extremely windy cold day ( hence not 5 stars though not their fault)...the food was still amazing!! Duck & lamb both highly recommended. We arrived at a time after their last order, yet they were very sweet, and served not only drinks but also food. The seating is amazing, the view a steal, service was very attentive and the food tasty and interesting - we will love to...be back.More
Apart from very good tapas/pintxos and drinks the main thing is that you could see whales as close as 25 metres out so enjoy!
We went their on recommendation after 11:00 this morning, the only movement was the waves of the sea. No staff member on site. We get it, that you are an outdoor restaurant open only when the weather is suitable.More

We went several times to Ficks for drinks or dinner. Absolute must! Prices are good and the service fantastic. Fun to watch local kids swimming in the pool after school.

During our trip to Plettenburg Bay from Cape Town we stayed at Hermanus and enjoyed a superb evening at Ficks. The food was exceptional tapas style, we ordered far too much!! the staff were brilliant even providing us with covers as the evening drew in....the views across the ocean were spectacular as we watched the sunset draw in. Highly recommended place to visit.More
What a fabulous place to stop off for a cocktail while walking the stunning Cliff Walk at Hermanus. Warm welcome, service with a smile, an absolute must-do place to visit.
Saw a YT video a week before we came to Hermanus so added Ficks to the list of must dos... and so glad we went. Super location with tables carved into the rocks on either side of a sea filled pool. Beautiful!! A range of...drinks - great cocktails, local wines and super tasty tapas style foods. The prawns to die for. Good service, happy smiley friendly staff. Only thing to note is that it can get a bit chilly as the sun goes down so take a sweater or make use of the rugs provided. Yep a must do.More
Watching the sunset over the tidal pool at Ficks is like being transported away to your own Greek island. Small Plates menu. Excellent quality. Beef and seafood were divine with vegetarian offerings also very tasty. True veggie menu probably a bit limited. It’s hard not...to enjoy yourself with such a great atmosphere, lovely vibe and house music with drinks. A vibe for young and old. By the end of the evening you want to get up and dance or find a party! Everything works well together and you’re guaranteed to enjoy your evening - even if it’s just a Tuesday which is when we went. Suspect the weekends may be a different story!More
