Still serving the best seafood in Hermanus, in our view. We recently visited twice in four days. The first visit was faultless, however the second time the staff were seriously over stretched but a table of 20 guests. We waited and waited, but fortunately the food was worth the delay. The seafood curry, as well as the fried calamari hit... More

We really enjoyed our evening here. We sat outside the cottage, drank some white wine and enjoyed our fish and seafood. The dishes were tasteful and freshly made. The mussels in white wine were very good as well as the fish soup

I heard so much about this restaurant, but found it was average. However, the ambience is lovely. I would return!

We enjoyed supper twice in one week at this cosy little restaurant. The staff are kept very busy but are always friendly and attentive. The fish is so fresh and perfectly cooked. It's best to book if possible as it a busy little place , but if you are prepared to wait for a table you won't be disappointed.

We booked this for our first night in Hermanus. The booking via the website did not work but sensibly there was a warning that no confirmation meant that the booking would not have got through, so we then emailed direct and had a very prompt response. We ate inside and started with the bowl of calamari strips for sharing -... More

Probably one of the best restaurants in Hermanus. The menu is interesting, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the superb food made us immediately book for a second dinner.

Having been in SA for over ten days and having eaten at a whole range of places, I can honestly say that this establishment is poor.A chicken and mayo toastie at a fuel station was more flavoursome! Mussels in milk which should be cream was a new idea but gross! Warm local wine is also poor, an hour and 15... More

We went having read loads of positive reviews of their seafood. My sardines (starter) were too large (bones become an issue) and poorly cooked. The delicate flavour of Cape Salmon main was destroyed by ginger and soy sauce. The abutions are a 5 minute walk away and the restaurant was stifling hot. Worst of all was the bread. What sort... We had a lovely meal here, nice service good food. We didn't book and it's quite small so my advice book even before you travel if it's a weekend or high season. We sat out side on a bench table, thats fine for us as it was warm.

If you haven't booked you are lucky to get a table which tells you a lot about the quality of the food and service. Fish dishes are delightful and cooked sympathetically to bring out and accent the subtle flavours. Great beach shack atmosphere which is also comfortable.
