I have always used Shan Sushi for takeaways, as I think it is certainly better to eat their sushi at home, than in the restaurant. The sushi has always been good, but if I had a complaint, it is that the pieces are getting too big to put in your mouth. You can't cut sushi, and the pieces should be small enough to eat in one go

Awesome sushi at this authentic restaurant run by the friendliest owner. Two branches exist, one in York Street and another in Courtney.

No idea why this place is so popular. We used to get takeaway Sushi here about once a week for quite a while, until we just had enough of the inconsistency. It seems like its just never perfect, rice is either undercooked or overcooked. Disappointing.

We had never seen or heard of the place before and ended up having some of the best Sushi we have eaten in the Garden Route and whats more at a very reasonable price.

WIth a simple venue, take out is a better option but the Sushi is the best ever. Well priced and absolutely delicious and super fresh. Staff are sweet and helpful.
