Overpriced for the very mediocre food served. Lacked seasoning and served a very rare steak when medium rare ordered. It’s a bit of a tourist trap

A lovely picturesque setting outdoors under the trees. We had a delicious lunch with great service. Definitely worth a visit.

The prices for food were exorbitant with mediocre portions. This used to be a well priced restaurant with generous portions. My whole family were still hungry after our main courses and that never happens to us. My 10 year old daughter had to order two...mains off the kiddies menu before she had eaten enough … she ordered rigatoni with cheese … it was all of 16 rigatoni pasta tubes on the plate with a smattering of grated cheddar). Service was good, ambience great and views outstanding. Just a real pity about the meal.More

Served me a burger with raw chicken and charged me R200 for it. Never come here. Way over priced in general, just come for wine I guess.

Beautiful scenery with stunning views and the cheesecake was delicious, however we are extremely disappointed with the Customer Services we received at Jonkers Huis Groot Constantia, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming and cold, making us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued customers. It was disappointing...to encounter such a complete lack of hospitality from the management staff leaving us with a rather uncomfortable experience.  Awful experience won't be returning.More

Visited Monday 30th October. The Lamb Curry and Lamb Shank was very bland with no taste at all. Staff not too friendly and inviting. Great location as with most wine farms seems to be the saving grace.

Tasty food and HUGE portions, which made it good value for money. Lovely views over the valley meant that there was a nice ambience. Good choice for lunch.

Staff managed to find us a spare table on a busy, cold winters day. We were out in a vibey section made cosy by a bristling fire in an oversized fireplace. Food and wine were excellently recommended by the waitress (she was amazing!). I had...the lamb shank- soft, full of flavour and paired beautifully with the red. A cold winter winner! We will be backMore

One of our absolute favourite spots in Cape Town. We had our wedding here and everyone complemented us on how magical it was. The food. The wine. The incredible team. It’s a very special spot with such amazing food. Couldn’t thank the team enough for...the most magical day of our lives. We don’t recommend it. We insist.More

The oldest wine estate in the country! And it’s beautiful and well worth a visit. We booked a table at the Jonkershuis restaurant- they have seating outside out front under the shady oak trees, indoors, and in their internal courtyard. Service was so friendly and...welcoming - and effortless. Great menu and some daily specials on the board. The Snoek pate was absolutely sensational! And the traditional local “tasting platter” was huge and delicious. Before or after lunch you can tour the historic buildings and / or do a wine tasting too. We visited on a week day and it’s wasn’t crowded- very peaceful and tranquil.More

Given the heritage, location, views and architecture, I was very surprised by how lame the meal was. I’ve had better meals in some gastro pubs in the UK, so it was a real let down especially considering they are surrounded by some pretty stiff competition....To add insult to injury, the estate Sauvignon Blanc we had with the meal was mediocre. I’ve enjoyed bottles of New Zealand Sav Blanc from Lidl which have had more depth and complexity in structure.More
