We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, a mix of steaks and fish. Everything was delicious and on point. Our waitress AM was very attentive and was definitely part of our pleasant experience.

We normally come 3 or 4 times when we visit family, tonight was out first and last time ! We both ordered drinks and when we drank them wanted to order a bottle of Rose wine, they brought the beer but the wine never appeared,...when the waiter finally came he told us that they didn’t have any Rose and offered us a sweet white we declined and ordered a glass of dry wine instead of a bottle, how can a business be out of Rose wine? We both ordered burgers one with chips and one with salad, I also ordered a side of onion rings. The order came but when it did appear it was lukewarm warm, we had to ask for the onion rings but when they came they were cold, we told the waiter when he finally appeared and he took them off the bill. When he cleared the plates we asked for the dessert menu but again it never appeared, we have never received such bad service and we did tell the person at the payment desk, we also we never be back !!More

Had the chateaubriand twice & the 1st time the plate was cold & the veg was Luke warm but the steak perfect. I mentioned this & advised it was due to load shedding which kicked in 15 minutes after we had finished the meal. Thought...that was quite amusing. The 2nd time the same again, but this time the waiter said they were aware of the issue, if so why not monitor the food on the pass before it goes out? Anyhow, we will return and ask for a hot plate and hot veg at the time of ordering. Never done this before but best to set your stall out early. If they get this right it would be spot on, the service and ambiance are great.More

This branch of Cattle Baron has to be the diamond in the Groups crown Tonight we had (I am sure this is their signature dish) the Madagascan Pepper Fillet. It was superb Meat was melt in your mouth tender, the sauce had just enough bite...and was bursting with flavour, cooked to perfection, meat temperature was spot on and the side of chips and veg were also delicious. Chips with nice and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside and were white and not the usual too dark colour that most Restaurants serve up (sign of old oil I believe) Ryno the Manager was on point and highly attentive to the busy needs of the Restaurant, yet managed to stop by our table and pass a few words and assisted with bringing the bill etc Cattle Baron Constantia - tonight you scored a full 10/10 🥩🍷👌🏼More

Disappointing for a R210 burger, one slice of tomato, one pickle shaving, old lettuce, they was a rumour of 2 slices of bacon (1 torn in 2). Gogo somewhere else

We are ever disappointed, food is always excellent. Beef spare ribs are a must, tender and sweet marinated. Mushroom fillet is something to come back for. Well done guys!!

Had an awful experience at Cattle baron Constantia last night. My father called to make a booking for 5 people at 6pm. Booking was confirmed by Hostess/ Manager? When we arrived for our dinner booking,we gave them the booking name and were showed to a...table right in front of the door, in the draft. The restaurant was apparently fully booked and the table we were to be seated at only at 4 chairs. We asked to be seated at a different spot, the rude arrogant “hostess” suggested we sit upstairs (very begrudgingly). She tried to put us at a 2 different tables and rudely suggested that “ the little ones” ( my twin sister, myself and 8 year old daughter), and the adults can sit at the other table. My father then told her that the “little ones” are actually adults, 35! And asked if she was suggesting that a group of 5 people must be split into 2 tables? She then slammed her hands down on the chair and huffed and rolled her eyes, and just glared at the poor waiter standing with her. She argued back and forth with my father as if it was too much trouble to push the tables together so we could sit and have dinner as a family. I got upset and suggested we leave as we not being made welcome. As we were leaving she said we can sit in the courtyard, meaning outside in the freezing air! We will never go back, the lack of respect and customer service was shocking!More

The food was tasty and the service was respectful. However, the desk manager Rian was having a go at the staff behind the bar which was ugly, loud, and very disturbing. Not exactly a way to enjoy a Sunday lunch.

came in yesterday and ordered 2 burgers and 1 kids chicken nuggets. I called in to collect at 4.10. The food was given to me. I went home and opened all, only to find the sauce was not included with the burger even though I...was charged for this. Even worst the butternut was rotten and completely off and inedible. My wife had to throw it out and couldn't eat the spinach either as it was pilled next to the rotten butternut. I'm very disappointed as I had just been to Simonstown the evening before and has a great experience , so I was excited to try the burgers as i work in the area, only to find it was not even close to the same standard.More

There is obviously something terribly wrong in this restaurant . It is. the owner and his terrible management style . Hardly no staff and just general chaos. The other reviews say the same . At last it wasn’t just me . So 20 mins in..., no drink , no cutlery . Never again ! I just found it by chance walking through that deserted mall so it was my mistake to go without a recommendation . There was no one at the bar ever to be making the drinks . They were gone trying to serve. Everyone’s drinks were taking ages . The owner was completely a dancing show pony - only attending to the huge tables by us. Prancing around the main money . Actually was embarrassing to watch. I had to leave and went over and said we were going The terrible server Darius or something like that just looked at me ran over to the computer / cancelled our order . Not a word said . No sorry or an apology . I kid you not .More

Worst restaurant experience ever, we arrived on time for our table that we had booked due to the Christmas holidays and lots of visitors to Cape Town. On arrival our table was not ready, we were offered a seat at the bar while the Hostess...was getting the overstaying diners out. While at the bar it was as if we were invisible, the barman or any member of staff did not offer us a drink or any eye contact. After some time we were told where our unset table was and worked our way over to it. From the time of entering and receiving our meals an hour had passed. While waiting for our food we observed several issues with patrons at other tables having issues with their orders and asking for the bill and leaving. Now it was our turn, my wife ordered a m/w fillet which came to the table m/r, the salad had the core of the lettuce partially cut up and confidently served, this was taken back to the kitchen and another was never returned. My steak was supposed to be medium but was served tough and well done. We both returned our meals, my wife's steak returned cooked to her liking, my new steak arrived some time after and was cooked to my liking but the meat was rotten and had a very bad aroma, the manager was confronted but never came around, the poor waitress had to deal with all the issues. 2 steaks had been returned with the same issue that evening. Plates that the food was served on were cold, load shedding was blamed for that. Vegetables that are offered as complimentary never arrived, when asked about the veggies the answer was that you have to ask for them, first time that I have experienced that at any of the Cattle Baron restaurants I have visited, probably this was the last time too.More

Went for the new lunch menu and was blown away by the quality and value of the calamari dish and the 200g sirloin steak, chips with both. Food ordered was simplistic, so no where to hide if it isn't cooked well and it was spot...on. They even had Dijon mustard. A nice glass of Chardonnay and pinotage to help the food to go down. Finally, the service from Scott was exemplary, a lovely hard working polite lad. Two coffees to finish and just a touch over £20, stunning value. Our first visit but definitely not our last.More
