Just had a really pleasant lunch. 2 pizzas, pasta and a salad for a family of 4. Very enjoyable. Would go again if we’re in the area

A light, spacious dining area and an enthusiastic welcome create a positive impression as soon as one steps inside this branch of Primi Piatti. A spur to appetite are the chalked boards on the walls detailing ingredients that offer something for every taste-bud, from vegetarian to carnivore, not forgetting lovers of sea food. The wine list is comprehensive, as is the selection of cocktails; service is prompt and courteous, and a major bonus is a complimentary plank with warm bread and a choice of accompaniments, best of which is toum (finely wrought garlic, salt and olive oil). The food is on the pricey side, but cost is justified by quality - and helpings are generous. Parking nearby is free and plentiful, so there are no nightmares to confront on leaving.

Got there, received a menu, knew what I wanted and asked the manager(seemed to be) if I could order, he then took our menus away and disappeared. Tried reaching out to other waiters a few times and eventually asked two waiters from which one eventually took my order. She apologised for the wait and mentioned that they were short staffed on this day.
Long story short my boyfriend and I eventually received our food, a recco pasta and a pizza to share. I specifically visit primi for their recco pasta I’m sure everyone has tried it, I usually go to V&A waterfront and theirs is amazing as well as Rosemead avenue before it closed. Primi constantia, I’m not sure what you are doing but the pasta was dripping in margarine to the point that the cream and oil were separating, all I could taste was margarine. To top it off even after paying R25 for extra chicken, the chicken was over fried and rather skimpy, I think that it must have been from the day before and they just added it to my plate.
The pizza was good on the other hand, although I prefer that V&As one has a proper yogurt relish and is squeezed on the pizza instead of just chucked on plain yogurt at primi Constantia. Topped off with a bone in my pizza from which there was hardly any chicken to account for the bone, everything was just skimpy, service was terrible, food was below average and an all together bad experience. Constantia needs to learn from waterfront, I wish I had just went to V&A instead to save myself from that experience.

I ordered the chicken liver pasta from menu . My wife ordered the half portion. When bill was presented my liver pasta dish was charged for large which was not on the menu and my wife's half portain was billed as the menu price. Previously I was charged the menu price for full portion. Also the service was slow as well.

I am a regular due to the great service of the staff and in particular of Christine - she alway greets me with a welcoming smile. Primi currently has a great breakfast special: cappinchino + eggs + bacon + tomato for just R39. Yum.

I've been a regular customer at Primi specifically Constantia Primi. The last visit the service was astounding. The waitress through the menus on the table . She can me this one and throught the dinner she consistently spoke vulgarly towards adults who have never seen her before just trying to catch up with friends. The manager was called, however there was no sincere apology or understanding of how inappropriate the staff were. Lastly she heard the bill incorrectly and decided to hand cash over. This was done but the manner in which she handed over and greeted justified my friends and I that this was actually pretty bad service!I'm disappointed and will not return to this Primi as the experience has been shockingly distasteful and handled unprofessionally.

Good evening
We would like to take the opportunity to thank Nelly Katem, for her excellent service at dinner at Prima Piatti tonight.
She was a very warm, friendly and helpful waitress. The service she offered, was prompt and professional.
The food and drinks were all delicious and were served on record time.
If there is an opportunity for promotion or reward, then we would kindly wish for Nelly to be recognised and considered.
We wish Nelly everything of the best and look forward to seeing her on our next visit.

Waiter didn't listen to the drinks order. Waitresses kept banging the back of my chair in passing. And to crown it all the pizza bases were soggy.

I regularly visit Primi Constantia Village. All the staff are friendly, the manager is wonderful. They serve excellent breakfast and really good coffee! They currently have a coffee special for R10 between 8-10
