We visit Cape Town every year but this was our first visit to Bouchon. Everything we had ate was superb and the service was top notch. Thanks to Stan and the rest of the team! We will be back regularly. Much appreciated Peter and Mark

This place is a gem. A must if you are visiting Cape Town! We had the queen prawns and beef Keftedas, the sauces are to die for and they have a a few other superb tapas. The menu is A le carte and the wine...selection is really fantastic and with a side of oysters is a absolute delight. We are definitely returning. Great ambience for couples and amazing service!More

We were there on a Monday night so the restaurant was quiet. But the service was warm and prompt, and the food was exquisite - we enjoyed a variety of tapas, each option delicious and beautifully presented. I’d highly recommend it.

My wife and I decided to celebrate our 9 year wedding anniversary at this special place! We had high expectations and truth be told we were not disappointing! All covid protocols followed to the tee. Warm welcoming and promptly taken to our table in a...hidden away little romantic corner. We started with the Edamame Beans done in a light soya and garlic sauce which just got the taste buds started! The service and flow just seemed seamless. For mains we had the Slow Roast Lamb Jus with home made gnocchi & pecorino shavings , Steamed Boa with Sticky Beef & Asian green Salad , Baked Camembert with Honey glaze ( Left out the crispy bacon as me wife is a vegetarian) , Pomme Frites that is twice cooked and Garlic Ailoli . We ended the evening off with the dark chocolate brownie with a generous portion of homemade vanilla ice cream. A truly unforgettable evening and cant wait to return to try the new menu Chef Nic has in mind! Highly recommended!! Well Done Team Bouchan , keep it up!!More

For the restaurant week they served three tapas and a dessert. The food lack flavour and some dishes was a bit small. The service was good.

I am kicking myself that it has taken so long for me to discover Bouchon, tucked away in a side street in Cape Town's CBD. As somebody who dines out in Cape Town at least a couple of times a week, Bouchon is now included...in my recommendations to friends as one of my top picks. A welcoming atmosphere, soft background music, and good acoustics were my first impressions, when visiting the restaurant earlier this week, with friends. There is ample parking in the road outside, which made for a stress free start to the evening. We were warmly welcomed by the host, and all Covid-19 protocols were followed. Once seated, we ordered a bottle of their Dorrance Chenin Blanc, which was outstanding, and a plate of their twice-cooked hand-cut fries with aioli, as well as one of fried calamari. Both dishes were delicious, with the fries being so good, we immediately ordered more. During the evening we tried a wide assortment of their tapas dishes. A creamy risotto, spicy wontons, beautifully charred, unctuous pork belly, and tasty lamb gnocchi. Ending our evening with a shared plate of moist, rich chocolate brownies, with home-made vanilla ice cream. In terms of size, all of the dishes were ample for sharing by the four of us. Throughout the evening, service was attentive and friendly by our waiter, Wayne. We are already planning a return visit, as there were other dishes on their enticing menu that we would have liked to try, but were simply too sated by the end of the evening. All the dishes we tried were delicious, freshly prepared., with quality ingredients. There was not one sour note throughout the evening . Highly recommend.More

Had an awesome experience at the Bouchon Wine Bar. Dishes started off fantastic and got better as each one arrived. The Lamb Gnocci was out of this world, so good we ordered another one! Wayne was our waiter and was brilliant and managed to stick...to COVID restrictions while effortlessly manning the floor. Super experience all round.More
