Da Vinci's on Kloof
Review
About
Great venue for a relaxed meal, either inside or outside. A wide range of tantalizing pizzas, pastas, burgers, salads and grills will have you coming back again. Craft beers and a full wine list will keep you from being thirsty; whilst our deluxe and adult milkshakes are a definite talking point. With views of Table Mountain and situated on trendy Kloof St a visit to Da Vincis is a must.

It was Monday afternoon, I was running errands and getting hungry. Popped in to Da Vinci’s on Kloof Street and immediately felt totally comfortable and welcome despite dining alone. The service was great, the music low-key and cheery, and the seats/tables were comfortable and nicely spaced for privacy and safety. The pizza I chose from the extensive menu had a perfectly crispy base and delicious toppings, just the right size to fill you up nicely. The house red is delicious and with the Monday Pizza Special it was a bargain too. I’ll defs come again. Highly recommend.

What a magnificent surprise DaVinci’s was this evening - early, casual, Sunday night, family supper. Hands on and owner managed, excellent service from Tawanda, delicious thin crust pizza, fresh salads and Banting burger bowl. Comfortable interiors, as if you are dining with friends in their stylish kitchen. Can’t fault DaVinci’s - will return. To shine in these difficult times - well done!

My wife and i have lived in Cape Town for 34 years and have seen many restaurants come and go. Da Vinici's on Kloof Street has stood the test of time and the new owners are bringing their own great touch on a well established restaurant without interrupting the winning formula that was created over a decade ago! We went for pizza and LOVED them. Thin crust and wood baked oven ensured a pizza the way it should be made! My wife had a special non flour wheat free vegie option that featured a cauliflower base! She was delighted!! She also asked for special ingredients on the pizza due to food intolerances and they were more than obliging. Delicious!! The ambience is fun and the walls show the history of a loyal customer base, with pictures of good times captured! There are areas for families, couples, parties and sport watching on a big screen. The bonus at Da Vincis is that it has an extensive outdoor area as well for people watching on the newest hot street for restaurants in Cape Town. ... we'll be back and with friends for sure.

After not being received upon entry, we go into the restaurant where we find the owner (I assume) who tells us the kitchen is closing but we can still order.
We sit outside on a dirty and stained sofa, the pizza arrives extremely oily. So much so that I couldn't finish it (we paid the bill, tipped the waiter) and ended up buying fast food just down the street.
Throughout the dinner I couldn't help but imagine Gordon Ramsey on his show "hell's kitchen".
I think the menu is too big which hinders quality.
Will definitely not be going back.

Service is very slow. Waitress is friendly . We would have walk out from the restaurant if it weren’t for her saying that the food is good. I wish I listened to my husband. I ordered the nibbles food. Calamari was greasy and dreadful so is the chips that come with . Halloumi stick was dreadful it squeak when you chewed itAnd the chilli poppers was just dreadful my husband didn’t like the steak either overall this is the worst place by far

Not my first choice for pizza in Cape Town, but is nevertheless a good value for money option. I just wish they would do something about the car guard who is ALWAYS there whistling loudly and completely out of tune...not sure he is even whistling a tune, just making a noise.
Anyway, would give four stars if I did not know that the car guard is always there, whistling away...

The menu was extensive, food was awesome and ALL the staff were brilliant! Four of us ate here nearly every evening of our recent cricket holiday in Cape Town.
We even popped there once just for their Banoffee Sundae...... Yummy!
Oh and do try the Bacon, garlic and banana pizza....sounds weird but it really works!
All in all definitely recommended!

So the food is average... Too much salsa for a meatball plate it looked like fettuccine Bolognese... The services is great, but sadly the food was just ok...

What an amazing spot - wonderful outside tables! Not your typical franchised pizza. Just way better! Artisan-style toppings (carrot on a pizza was a first for me) and a generous large size. Very relaxed experience with food that delighted.

On a recent visit to Cape Town we returned to a restaurant we had visited some time before , only this time in the day time , the previous time being a night visit.
We had enjoyed the “ Banting “ pizzas there before and this was an attraction to return and we were not disappointed.
The restaurant is as good as ever and the location is great – easy to get to with parking facilities and appears to be popular with locals and tourists.
The quality of the food was excellent , as to was the service , and a great place to be, especially on the day we were there to sit outside in good weather .
This restaurant is most definately an asset to Kloof Street and we will return !

On arrival one gets a warm welcome. The very best pizza I had in a long time. There is also a good choice of other yummy dishes on the menu from lovely salads and to finger liking ribs. The service was very good and attentive.
The menu seams very well priced.
