Really the generous portions crisp and succulent. Yummy coleslaw topped with pecan nuts. Service good although very quiet for a Saturday evening.

Wonderful bar menu! Food was good also. I thought my milkshake was okay but my son said it was his favorite in Cape Town. Love the decor!

Ordered the prawn curry and was not impressed. Not sure what it was but almost tasted as if something in it was off. A friend ordered a burger which was raw, he asked for another and the second was also raw and literally cold in...More

Hi John Thanks for your feedback. Regarding the burger, the gentleman in your party kept asking for the burger to be cooked medium, and twice we did that. On the 3rd meal, we cooked it well done and then he was satisfied with it. As...More

We had hoped to eat at the sister property of the Deckhouse, but they were fully booked, so we ended up here. A nice, casual spot for a quick dinner.

This restaurant must certainly rate as one of the best crab restaurants in the Cape. Their varied menu caters for most tastes ,but their crab dishes are certainly their speciality. We ordered a salad for the table, a prawn and calamari combo, two prawn and...More

We walked to this restaurant from our hotel in Rosmead on recommendation of another guest and we were not disappointed. Great choice of seafood served in quirky buckets with a protective pinafore for the customer. The food was well cooked and we struggled to finish...More

We ate here on the first night of our South African holiday on the recommendation of staff at our hotel nearby. The food was amazing and wonderfully fresh: we had a bucket of whitebait to share, followed by a prawn & calamari combo for me...More

Description
The Deckhouse Crabshack brings something new to the foodie scene in Cape Town – don your plastic bib, order up and get stuck in, there really is no other way to enjoy this kind of food. The menu mimics an American-style crab shack, where the portions are big, the flavours are bold and the atmosphere is convivial and unpretentious. Set in a well-known spot on Kloof Street, it has a lovely outdoor deck with views of Table Mountain. The decor is beachy and includes some cool touches like the sofas made from boat halves and whitewashed tables and chairs. It’s light, fresh and fun.
