We had a nice dinner here (fish and risotto), good place for meat eaters. The service and ambience was nice but it was quite expensive for Capetown and misses the “special “/“unique” point.

Nested in a remote place the restaurant offers a nice variety of excellent food. The first time I had the chance to have some decent South African wine, not only the ones from last year. Service was nice and friendly, and we had the chance...More

Pre-drinks in this beautiful garden setting were a real treat! This is a great place to end of a busy day in the City. After drinks, you can move inside and enjoy good, no-fuss, delicious food. The staff were excellent.

Having booked three weeks ahead for someone’s birthday, we were quite taken aback when told that there was no such booking but that we could be seated in the bar area. We tried this, but the noise was phenomenal and we eventually decided that we...More

We had the upstairs room to ourselves (8 people). Wonderful atmosphere with fires and comfy seating. We were in South Africa for 2 weeks and this was the best meal we had. The food was fabulous.

We had lunch here (Pork Belly and Line Fish) with beer and a white wine. Both dishes were excellent and the service was wonderful. Such a tranquil setting in Cape Town while dining, tucked into a quiet neighborhood. Definitely worth the effort to find it.

Designer decor in a freshly restored very old building meant the great experience started before we even had a welcome drink. The cocktails were expertly made, and the cured trout starter delicately mouthwatering. We went for the, justifiably famous, steak and frites and the kingklip which...More

Frequented by people that you would want to know, the stately Leinster Hall has been brilliantly reimagined and repurposed as The Stack: With an opulent public bar and brasserie downstairs and a unique private members' club upstairs, it's the perfect place to get your swagger on. The fledgling idea of hotelier Nigel Pace and his designer wife, Sarah Ord, this one of a kind establishment is about to make the Kloof Street hood even cooler, if that is even vaguely imaginable. Between them, they have over 25 years of experience making people feel at home so you'd be foolish not to get in on the ground floor, so to speak.
