Lovely food and lovely service. Great value as well. Excellent vegan options, as usual for Ethiopian restaurants. The sampler will see you right for a good mixture of things.

This was recommended by our guest house. It is tricky to find if you are looking for a restaurant as it is inside a shop/ boudoir/ gallery. It serves authentic Ethiopian cuisine on tables spaced between African art and decor and you eat it with...your hands using a sponge looking bread. The waiter was very helpful helping us to choose- My choice was quite limited due to my onion allergy. The food for my wife and son came on a platter similar to a thali we had in India with this weird looking bread that looked like a sponge. They tell me the food as lovely but thought my chicken with spinach was the nicest. It was an interesting experience with different spices that I have not come across in a eccentric setting.More

That's definitely the funkiest place I have had dinner. You feel like you're in a restaurant which is located in the jungle. The decoration and the atmosphere is outstanding, but special. It's not a place where you bring your grandparents to, but with your friends...and parents, it's a special event. The food was awesome. I never ate Ethiopian food, but what I ate there, was really delicious. It was a mix out of the meat platter with vegetables.More

Ethiopian cuisine is one of my favorite in the world. I'm a vegetarian and Ethiopians do amazing things with vegetables and lentils. I was excited to visit this place based on its reputation but have to wonder how many people who come have had Ethiopian...before. I ordered a veggie sampler and found that most of the dishes were underwhelming. These are standard Ethiopian dishes like Shiro that I've had all over the world. While the food was not bad, it was certainly not on the same level as some of the best that I've had. That said, I would still send people there for the ambience and the experience. It's like walking into a museum with art and artefacts from floor to ceiling. There are also semi-private eating nooks built up, down, and around the restaurant. Some of them you reach via a small ladder or a staircase. It truly is something to see and for those who have never tried Ethiopian, it will be a real adventure. My meal was very inexpensive and was served quickly.More

We go here regularly and have never been disappointed - besides the warm service and unique and quirky interior, the food is always absolutely DELICIOUS! It is my 2 picky teenagers favourite place to eat and last night the restaurant went above and beyond to...make my daughter feel special on her birthday - I can't recommend this one enough!More

What an amazing place! The ambiance, the food, the staff, all of it was amazing. Our guide on our Cape Town Walking tour recommended it and we are so glad we went. Definitely a must visit!
