Dinner with tour group. There were many people. Food and service was good. They offered a limited menu due to the number of people.

Tasty lunch at Beluga. I had grilled baby octopus with rice. The portion was sufficient and very well prepared. Good value for the money. 3 persons with main dish and 1 glass of wine/ beer, cost 48 euro. The bread was home made. Service was...good. I would recommend. Compliments to the CHEF!More

So much potential but fails to deliver with service, food or atmosphere. The diesel fumes from the Cruise liners not great either. Food is just fine, did not taste fresh and the sushi was very ordinary. Cape Town has too many other good places so...I wouldn’t put it high on listMore

Food not great - line fish was overcooked, gnocchi was overcooked and mushy, calamari, seafood curry and calamari was average (had much better) sushi was okay - oysters were great (but you can’t mess those up) Restaurant ambiance was awful - getting into Beluga was...like walking into a container/warehouse under construction - no views over the harbour, especially when a cruise ship is docked - feels like one is in a container with no windows ! Lovely restaurant setting inside, except it was incredibly noisy - making it difficult to have a conversation The only ‘saving’ grace was the friendly attentive service Too many other great places to go to in CT, so will definitely not be going back Value in consideration of all the negatives was expensiveMore

Had a lovely meal here and ordered the California rolls and fish for a main course. The food quality was excellent and we also received excellent service.

Fabulous evening at Beluga. Four ladies with a special celebration and we were looked after extremely well. A huge thank you to Narusha who went above and beyond and to Faith our waitress. Also thanks to Setu and the whisky bar manager. We had a...table d’hôte menu and the food was exceptional. Probably the best fillet steak I have ever had. Being Scottish and from a whisky background we ended the evening in the whisky room tasting a few single malts with our coffee. The gentleman there (sorry I didn’t get his name) is excellent. All in all our evening couldn’t have been better. I would highly recommend a visit.More

The good thing to say about this restaurant was the view. And that was questionable. Outside seats hard and comfortable. No cushions available so moved inside. Service hit and miss. More miss than hit Ordered the tuna which was covered in a crust ( as...advertised) and some sort of sauce. Which was not needed. The tuna was tasteless and over cooked. The salad was ordinary and dull. Another person had salmon which was also over cooked. Over priced wines on offer which took a while to be provided. Will not be returning.More

Don’t let the location put you off what I’d describe as an unforgettable experience. Once the sun sets the setting is lovely and the atmosphere and food, well completely wonderful. Our waiter A.B. Was one in a million, helpful, friendly, accommodating. If you go to...one really lovely restaurant in Cape Town V&A waterfront, this must surely be on the top of your list!More

Last minute table reservation for the final evening in Cape Town & Beluga did not disappoint. From the online booking care from Narusha and restaurant manager plus waiting staff - the service, food and tentativeness was impeccable. Thank you for a scrumptious dinner and a...truly enjoyable evening - we will be back!More

While the food was good, this was probably the loudest restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. Our group ate in a large room packed with long tables of noisy, chatty people. I used an app on my phone that told me the decibel count was 82...(very loud). I had to lean over the table to hear what people were saying to me and I have great hearing. I had to leave the room in between courses of food to regain my sanity.More

The good news- the food quality is great, especially the 1kg of prawns. The bad news-they have a private dining room which allows smoking adjacent the main dining room. This resulted in wafts of cigar & cigarette smoke permeating the whole interior because of staff...going in/out the door to the "smoking" room. We were one of several tables that had to be moved to the private dining area on the opposite side of the restaurant, you could even smell the smoke there until they closed the sliding doors to this area. Disclosure-I'm an ex-smoker and am not averse to occasionally being nearby smokers for a transient period, but the stench of the cigarette/cigar smoke was highly offensive to us and other couples that had to be moved as a result. Unfortunately this made the evening most unpleasant. In fact, the smoke was even noticeable in the hallway & the floor below outside the restaurant at times.More

Had to finally try out Beluga for the first time at the Cruise Terminal last night. My boyfriend and I were so excited to try this out for our anniversary, as he loved the old Beluga in Green Point but oh boy were we so...dissatisfied. Some lovely cocktails, the Grey Goose Fizz was delicious and a great long island. For starters, we had the venison carpaccio with some sushi, the 8 piece Samurai roll. Both were so disappointing, carpaccio had a balsamic reduction which was so unbelievably sweet and overpowering from the soft springbok meat. The sushi was just so bland!! Our mains the Norwegian Salmon and the Line fish for the day which was Cape Salmon. Both our meals had to be sent back. The Cape Salmon was so dry it was tasteless, the Norwegian Salmon was so raw it was mushy. After 10 min of waiting for new food and the table next to us complaining that they both had to send their meals back because their steaks were blue instead of medium rare. It was safe to say when our food came we were so turned off and had lost our appetite we both couldn't finish more than 30% of our new food. After talking to the manager expressing how we felt about the food. She was impossible to communicate with and never ever really acknowledged anything we had to say. (The table next to us had the same things to say). I offered to pay for the Norwegian Salmon as it was R295. But requested the manager took off the Cape Salmon off the bill but that's because 3 bites were gone. She never came and spoke to us again and apologised nor did she even come back to our table after that. No dessert after that. We so regret not asking for both dishes to be voided, my boyfriend got so sick when we got home. Get your sh*t together! Beluga is supposed to be one of the best seafood restaurants in Cape Town, with a prime location, but you were so disappointing. Won't be seeing us again, if nothing changes soon.More

This is a hidden gem , the position is outstanding at the cruise terminal, the food was excellent can only say well done to Theon Smith and his dedicated team . The food from seared tuna , peri peri chicken to fillet steaks was Michelin...star quality. Faith our hostess was very good . There is something for everyone on the menu, at a reasonable price. A fantastic selection of wines . Well done guysMore

Not sure what the question is. My experience was excellent, and none of the three of us had any problems with our food.
