We went on a Saturday which was a bit noisy due to many groups. But overall great vegetarian food, great service. Portions could be bigger to get best value for money

Great food and great taste. I have to say their flavours were quite strong and more Chinese based, because vietnamese food is more subtle. But overrall we enjoyed until when it came to the tip. I tipped the waiter R50 and he turned away and...just walked even without saying thank you or good bye. I repeatedly said good bye to him (thinking he did not hear me) but he refused to acknowledge. May be the R50 wasn't enought I'm not sure. As I'm a tourist in CPT I'm not sure of the local culture. Anyway ignoring your gusts leaves a sour taste in your mouth after all the good food.More

Bad service waited over an hour for our food. The food was tasty but the service was very bad. Will not recommend it. The waiter did not pay attention to who ordered what and just plonked the food down on the table when it finally...arrived. We did get a token of apology with regard to our bill . Then incorrect revised bill arrived and we had to basically figure out our own bill until the correct bill was presented.More

My hubby and I love Vietnamese food. We were so happy to find Saigon while visiting Cape Town. Everything we ordered was quite good. The food was tasty and filling. I would return to Saigon.

looks like they are refurbishing, but this did not distract from a warm friendly experience with a excellent meal far to much to finish all

Our last meal in Cape Town was super memorable. Dim sum was amazing, salad rolls delicious, the miso eggplant just write and the Pho beef soup was super. Actually it was one of our favorite meals - well done! Well priced.

Saigon is really good. We come from California where there are many Vietnamese restaurants. And this place is the real deal. Freshly made shrimp dumplings. Excellent pho with well balanced broth. Nice caramelized fish and roast duck. Light and crispy fried banana. All particularly impressive...given that many of the ingredients used in Vietnamese cooking are undoubtedly difficult to come by in South Africa.More

Deplorable ….. it started off with great food & service & then went downhill. We were not offered one thing after 2 rounds of starters. No mains, deserts or coffee. The staff in the ‘open’ kitchen were standing packed with bags to leave at 9pm....Load shedding was used as an excuse, no music, no vibe, no food, R500 per head,,,, shocking experience. A Dinosaur restaurant that deserves extinction!!! Group of 6 locals we don’t be back.More

My partner and I both love Asian food. Yes living in Cape Town affords us the opportunity of experiencing amazing restaurants but our experience at Saigon was exceptional. From the dim sum to the tempura prawn to the prawn toast and chicken hot plate- we...can highly recommend this restaurant.More

We have been here on a Sunday evening, up to 18.30 there was this annoying loadshedding… We went in some minutes earlier, and started with a drink. The food came promptly, the taste was fine and as spicy as expected (and known from Asian kitchen),...so were satisfied. The waiter could have been somewhat more attentive, even after the check out tip. Perhaps not his day… So we would recommend to come here.More

My wife and myself went to Saigon Restaurant for our wedding anniversary mostly because we are both "taste eaters" and were wanting asian flavours.........we made the correct choice in going here.........flavours, we wanted and that is exactly what the restaurant delivered. From the food to...the cocktails, we experienced a masterful understanding of what makes people happy. Everyone was hospitable and welcoming and we were blessed with having Ryan guide us through the options. Ryan is an absolute ambassador for the restaurant and was as much responsible for our experience as the folks in the kitchen and bar. We were blessed to have found this gem and will be back again....More
